Try not to always look behind or around you to see who is coming, those riders should be able to pass you even if you are not letting them passing you by coming to the side of the track or slowing down, just stay in your line and don't come from one side to another, concentrate more on yourself, I'm a beginner and this tip from others helped me to focus on myself and my technique.

exactly, stick to your own line the faster guys should know how to chose a different line. Another thing try to lean forward going up the face of a jump and keep those elbows up. keep shredding 🤙

Would love to practice with you guys. At my local track, everyone is looking and judge you by the year and price of your bike and your equipment. Everyone is ironical and not willing to help you. I'm completely new to this, although I have some good time on a local, public MTB track that i hit almost daily 😂...

Fun video. This came up in my feed and I watched that a bunch, the looping is not so much pulling up, but scooting back. Your head is over the bars and looking good, but you then scoot back at the lip (every time you looped it) As you got faster, this helped you as you were backing off the throttle on the face and staying in balance, but under power, that makes it air-wheelie 100% of the time. You can then see your knees collapse and come forward. FWIW, I am struggling with these very things. A couple other safety tips, per others, get your speed early so you can back off a bit on the face to make sure your rear wheel doesn't spin and swap sideways, second, try a gear up on the jumps so you have more safety margin to rev out, especially on a lower revving two stroke (with EFI) - or at lest click a gear in the air for safety, and finally, squeeze both sides of the bike in those sloppy corners to control the front end from darting. I learned all these things from riding buddies, FWIW, and can tell you have your own pod to help too. :-) A fun video though, keep it up!

Always love the positive vibes dude! Try to blip the throttle a bit (like keeping the bike awake) in the soft/muddy parts before the corners. It’ll prevent the front end from diving. We need to do this all the time in the netherlands lol. Also, try to create speed long before the jumps, that will make jumping more steady and predictable

only tip I'd give is keep your RPM's higher. makes it easier to ride on a track.. especially a 2 stroke. No hate, just help. looking good man! (edit): lean forward more! especially in the turns, it makes it easier to not only balance, but guide the front end to where you want it to go/ a good rule of thumb is if you guide the front, the back will follow. when in doubt, throttle out.

If you'd like a little insight on why your nose kept coming, it was on you. You had steady throttle, good. But when you left ground, you pulled up. I watched it in slow motion at half speed to see it. Watch how quickly you were able to see the top of the bar pad and gas tank. It probably stemmed from seeing the face and not being comfortable on it, so you pulled up. It's something everybody does as they're starting out. Conditioning the bike can help with kickers, but knowing how to correct them and better yet, avoid them is the best way to handle a jump. Pause the video at 12:45, and just look across the face. There's nothing wrong with pulling to the side of the track to inspect a jump. It's called practice for a reason. Like you said, you gotta figure out the science.
@mxoudiАй бұрын
Interesting. It definitely seemed to be a confidence thing. Guess I'll stay on the throttle and stay put next time?
@FruMonkey018Ай бұрын
@@mxoudi Confidence and comfort come from repetitiveness. Steady throttle and neutral position on the bike. And that goes for any jump, not just the sketchy ones. Definitely study some videos of the pros going over kickers. Slow them down and watch the body position. Sand tracks are good to learn kickers and how the bike reacts. Herlings at Lommel would be good, or this past pro national at Southwick.

I noticed when you go to brake tap your not pulling the clutch in or just not enough which is causing the bike to shut off if you pull the clutch in as far as you can get it then dab your foot on the back brake it will keep the bike on and allows you to keep the front end down better, I also ride 2smoker and when I was newer I would always Ronnie it scared me every time so I know how you feel man 😂
