These are so fun! I tried English from Thai before since there’s no Thai from English (yet?), but I didn’t find it super helpful to learn Thai. Just like learning a different language on Duo doesn’t really help me learn English.

As someone who's learning French as a second language, "please don't be French" made me giggle 🤭 Also, it's actually a common strategy to reverse the language you're learning into English if you're good enough at the language, because it means there's more content to learn. The "English to French" tree is actually _very_ different from the "French to English" one. But then, there's not a _lot_ of opportunities to practice the language you actually want to learn other than navigating the site, so not that efficient tbh. I would personally just start immersing with other stuff such as KZbin if you want more challenge, instead of just doing a reverse tree.

I did this with French as it is my second language. Spedran English, and do daily review to continue my streak, though it does occasionally ask me to translate the english into french, which can be hard if you speedrun in a language you don't know

Adding onto that, French words aren't too hard in my opinion, it's the grammar rules that mess you up like masculine and feminine, verb conjugations and order of words

actually duo has 2 other voices, yk those male and female voices which are not connected to any characters? like the ones in match practices? well in some very specific lessons with those voices you can press the share button after completing them. then it is revealed that duo is the character with those voices. So duo somehow has 3 voices
