Dutchman Dash was the bane of my existence when I was a kid. I don’t think I ever made it past level 2 so it being even more difficult with going backwards with the Flying Dutchman chasing you is insane. 8 year old me would’ve cried

The only SpongeBob flash game that's nostalgic *to me* is the Flash version of Creature from the Krusty Krab that uses sprites from the GBA and DS versions and the music from the PS2, Wii, and GameCube versions. The first level has you playing as a giant version of Plankton and stopping the military from stopping you. The second level, the farthest I got as a kid, had you fly a plane as SpongeBob and shoot jellyfish before the giant Plankton started chasing and attacking you. The part I never got to was a boss fight where you have to defeat the giant Plankton as SpongeBob. If you run out of health, the game abruptly cuts to a screen with the boxart (also used as the title screen) that claims "Good thing it was only a dream!" and gives you the option to either "Try again" or "Start over". But if you survive to the boss fight and bomb Plankton (yes, that's how you defeat him), the game just as abruptly cuts to a screen with the same art that says, "The day is saved!" Where did I find it? On Lego's official site back when they had the SpongeBob license.

Something about Bikini Bottom Bust Up: The game has a hard mode where you fight all 3 opponents wearing black belts. It doesn't look like much but it makes them WAY harder to beat than normal. Think of it as that game's equivalent to Title Defense from Punch Out Wii.

I swear I remember playing SpongeBob’s (Next) Big Adventure where there’s an Ice monster and you have to collect the cast characters who are frozen. It was a difficult platform-side scroller with a boss fight but I was a kid at the time. They might of nuked the game to make it easy for computers.
