My mom gave all her clothes away a few years ago and it makes me so sad bc she had so many amazing pieces that I have such fond memories of her wearing back when I was little and would have loved to wear myself one day 😭 just gonna have to keep living vicariously thru you and other content creators who raid their parents’ closets and come up with such cool modernized outfits. Seriously this is so so cool to me

My mom's closet is a genuine 80s/90s treasure trove, so I'm glad that you went along with that video idea. I have a lot of fun styling her lesser-worn pieces (my dad's included!). Also: I didn't even realize outfit #4 was giving leprechaun energy until you'd said so, so don't sweat it haha -- it's the bolder combinations especially that make your videos fun to watch/take inspo from!

I love all the pieces and outfits. I love the idea of the brooch with the cardigan. Also, I have an idea with the beautiful green blazer, to add an all-black or neutral palette to make the green stand out and then pair it with funky accessories that are earth colours.

My fave was the green knit blazer. Very 1970s, but it was in great condition and such a cute color. I loved the outfit you made with it too. I thought it looked so cute. You could wear it to work or in a more formal situation...

I also really liked that outfit, because while I don't like hate that style of knit blazer but usually I find it kind of whatever. The outfit really elevated it. I'd love to see a whole video of fun, funky work appropriate looks

It's really hard not being pulled in by moms cool vintage beauties. My mom had a beautiful a line midi skirt from the 70's, grey with rainbow stripes that follow the shape of the skirt , it looks to be handmade and she was kind enough to pass It on to me and I'm totally enamored 😄

I’m an 80s kid (literally your mom’s generation!), and it was so fun to see these pieces styled in such playful, casual ways! Girls usually glammed up the formal looks, treasuring any expensive brand items and featuring those pieces. Your styling videos always help me to reconceptualize my thrift finds and old items in new, fun ways, and I especially enjoyed this one! (I never did know how to style like “the cool kids!”) 😅 Thank you!!🌻✨ (Also, your mom is super cool! Those dresses she sewed look like super-shiek very-expensive Vogue fashion from the era!! My compliments to her skill and cleverness!)

I love this video!! Would definitely watch an edition where you style your dad’s clothes, your grandparent’s clothes, anything like that! Old clothes can be so fun to style. I liked all of these outfits, but I liked the dresses and the blazer look the best. The color scheme of the blazer look was phenomenal, and I love how fun and unique the outfits you made out of the dresses were. Tell your mom she’s an icon and her dresses are beautiful.

Hi, Liz - Loved the scarf as dress outfit best. Also, I actually liked the green blazer outfit. On an earlier video, you tucked those blue/black flowered pants into a pair of black boots - I think that would have made this outfit a little funkier. Great concept ... would love to see more like this!

i have one of my mom's skirts on right now (that i've stolen, it's basically mine now), and i was wearing it last friday and decided i should crochet a top to go with it and i just so happened to have yarn that matched with it really well. i finished the top a few hours ago and am wearing it. this is the first crochet project i've actually finished which is exciting. my mom also made this funky green mini (?) skirt back in probably 1990 or so, and it happens to fit me pretty well so i've worn that and !! i think it would look good with this very same bright (but simultaneously dark) purpleish magenta crochet top. moral of the story: steal your mom's skirts.

My mother and I are vastly different sizes and heights but I used to steal my mom’s clothes when I was in high school all the time. She had the most amazing late 80s oversized striped top with a drop shoulder. It was horizontal stripes on the body part then the sleeves were vertical stripes. So cool! Wish I still had it. I think she took it back then donated it :/

Btw for outfit 4, “leprechaun” didn’t even enter my mind until you said it. soooo just goes to show most people won’t see anything wrong or weird about your outfit until you bring it up. But also leprechauncore is a slay, I’m totally on board. Now I want to dress up like mythical creatures from a bunch of different cultures (in a respectful way of course).

I think I have the same blazer as your mom but mine is black. I wear iit for choir and playing recorder in church. The churches are often quite cold and it lookes elevated but is warm, cozy and soft to move around in. The last dress reminded me a bit of babywearing 😁I am so sorry, no offense.
