@@DestinyHopeLou traczebabe's 1st 2 sentences are 'Why not keep the bread out of the freezing altogether? Just freeze the egg & meat.' If that were the case you would need to have fresh bread available. I agree that the wet paper towel needs to be left out of the freezing process. To me the whole idea of this is to have something quick to grab & prepare. IMO the egg/meat SB wrapped separately from the bread and then packaged together so that you're only grabbing one item with everything included instead of having to look for & open 2 separate freezer bags/containers.

The mistake was in the damp paper towel. The best way to freeze these is in freezer bags with as much of the air sucked out as possible, or even better packing them individually with a vacuum sealer to get all the air out. This will prevent freezer burn which will preserve the taste, as well as keeping big ice crystals from forming inside the food which would then melt and make the food soggy when reheated.

Wait why did you put paper towel on them? Is that the hack? Surely having them in a container and just seperating them with baking paper or alfoil would work better i mean can you not just take the english muffin in the morning of making it and toasting it then? I mean i can see why people might want to pre cook the filling but also it really doesnt take that long to cook egg or thin ham. You could use the same fry pan for the muffin/toast the egg and the ham and have them cook at the same time while you make a coffee or drink...
@samantha52825 жыл бұрын
EmmaAppleBerry i think the theory behind it is you can just take it and go to work or just pop it in the microwave when your grabbing your stuff an either eating it on the way to work or right before you leave rather than having to cook it and then eat it would takes probably a good hour that people with early morning commutes or rushing don’t have
@EmmaAppleBerry5 жыл бұрын
@@samantha5282 yeah i get thats the idea a meal ready to go but what im saying is popping the premade frozen filling in the microwave then grabbing a muffin & putting it in the toaster would be quicker you could immediately wrap it in alfoil to keep it warm and then have it in the car & youd save time than fiddling with all this papertowel reheating nonsense and the bread part would be fresh. But even if you didnt do the premade part say get a fry pan put some bread or muffin in the toaster or on the pan, when sone remove it chuck the hot bread on some alfoil put some sprinkle cheese after you crack an egg and put some ham or bacon on the same pan and while that cooks grab a thermos and put hot coffee then when the egg and hams ready put it straight on the toast and wrap it either fully or folded at the top and run straight out the door with your brekkie. Like its really not a timesaver or a good hack if its something thats quick and easy to make fresh & the hack is gross inedible or far less nice than fresh. Like it wouldnt even save money youd be better off swinging past mcdonalds or a local cafe and getting a takeaway breakfast. Im not having a go at rachel mind you i just dont get all these stupid hacks people come up with which are wasteful in time energy and money take longer arent as nice as the normal way or just dont work and are stupid. Like i get freezing a meat patty ahead of time that makes sense & if they are homemade or like a breakfast quiche/muffin or something that you actually have to bake cook mix together ingredients etc but its like a toast havk like noone needs to premake toast because hello its already quick simple and itd be stupid to bother. Thats my issue. The 'hacks' dumb. Like freeze some hashbrowns and cook them fine or something worth it an egg and bacon muffin is not it i mean you can put bread on a pan cut a hole in and cook egg like that and have bacon next to it thats more of a hack than whatever that was lol. Sorry im just really over hack quacks like it shits me that something thats suppose to make things simple and easier doesnt even make sense.

Samantha Houmani that shouldn't take you an hour though... an egg takes like 5 minutes to cook and you can toast a muffin at the same time the egg and ham is cooking. Also, I'm on a ketogenic diet for seizures. And I make a variation of that cheese and egg pasta. But I never ever got it to work like regular pasta. I failed so many times that I just revamped it. I made the dough into gnocchi shapes, chill, then pan fry them. They're a delightful alternative for me since carbohydrates make my seizures worse.

I would just keep fresh muffins and freeze the eggs and stuff 🤷🏽♀️

Hey Rachel, for the Cinnamonz pancake recipe, there are two tricks. 1. Increase the banana to egg ratio, accordingly, to get a thicker batter and more pancake like consistency. 2.Use really sweet and ripe bananas. That makes it taste less like a banana omlette. So since u are using really sweet bananas it will be ok to use less egg, and it not taste too eggy. I have optimized it myself. Also, eat it with a sprinkling of muesli on top for extra crunch. And switch maple syrup for honey for a healthier breakfast.
If you're going to wrap them, wax paper or parchment paper. I make wraps using biscuit dough and freeze them and I don't wrap them, I just stack them in a lock and lock container (wait till they cool before freezing to ensure they don't stick together. I do wrap in a paper towel when reheating though (but NOT a wet one).

Don't add milk to your eggs

I went to culinary school and adding milk/water/half and half/ or heavy cream is actually a technique people use to make eggs fluffier :)

Jenny except in this scenario it makes it watery when reheating

@@JosieWalker0531 well... I'm a bit picky so eating eggs that aren't fresh is something I would never do.. it takes like 2 minutes to make fresh eggs anyways 🤷♀️

I’m cringing at the microwaved sammich lol so gross. Maybe a toaster oven would be better? Like no microwave at all lol

I’ve tried the banana and egg pancake mixture before and loved it especially if I premake the batter on the weekend then cook during the week before work. It was delicious and gave me so much energy for the day.

When I was on a special diet where I couldn't eat most carbohydrates, I ate the banana pancakes all the time. You can add almond or coconut flour to make them a bit thicker and baking powder to give them rise. The lumpy batter actually works better than the blended batter.

It bothers me in such a way I cant explain that she just throw the muffin into the microwave without putting the muffin into a plate first. The juices from the egg and everything in it leaked into the microwave and I just... Ugh,gross

What I can recommend for pancakes is putting oats, eggs and cottage cheese in the blender! So good and high in protein
