He said, not long ago, that he works on 1 at most 2 cars a day now, just to keep in-the-know and busy. Let's guess that he works 3-5 hours a day on cars, then he has at least a two or three-hour window to record, edit and upload videos. Plus it seems he works from home and doesn't spend an hour in the car each day; time saver. All that equipment he gets now to review and attention from thousands each day, probably make his day. Regardless of how the sentences in the back are structured, it needs to meet the requirements to even be able to have the labels. Other KZbin channels have checked and verified that the oil is pretty much on par with other name brands

I totally agree with you Scotty. I used to change my car's oil at different and reputable places including dealerships (when i have a new car), but i found out that they Overcharged me and didn't use the quality of oil that i paid for, here in Los Angeles. It takes me 30 minutes now to change the oil ( Synthetic), all filters and i save $150.00 every time!

Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 heavy duty diesel oil. It is full synthetic. $20/gal. Rated for 80,000 miles in over the road trucks. I use that in everything. I’d put it on salad if I ate salad.

loud Ring yes I do. I used it in my Land Rover Discovery for 100,000 miles, and I use it in my Toyota Land Cruiser. I use it in my lawn mower too. When I drove cement truck we used it in the engine, hydraulic systems on the trucks and bulldozers, front end loaders...everything. It is even Allison transmission approved so they told us, so we used it in those too. I wouldn’t put it in the Allison transmission of your Duramax truck, but at the time our mechanic said use it, so we did. When you have a fleet of equipment you want one fluid to do it all, Shell Rotella was that fluid. I only use it in my engines, and I will bet the farm on that oil.

loud Ring you’re welcome. The best thing you can do is to use the oil and filter combo of your choice, run them for your oil change interval and then take a SOS (service oil sample) and the results will tell you exactly how well that oil and filter performed. The lab will recommend shortening or lengthening your oil changes. Or even changing oil brands. Blackstone labs will send you a oil sample kit for free, then follow the directions and send it in. It’s $35 for a oil sample test. They told me that I can easily go 15,000 miles on the Rotella and Purolator PureOne oil filter that I use. But I do not. I change it every 5,000 miles because I need to grease both drive shafts, that’s 6 grease fittings and unless I’m changing the oil I will not grease them. Plus changing the oil is when you need to be checking other things as well, transmission, transfer case, differential fluid levels too. I know me and I will not do those things unless I am under the truck already. I am a commercial driver, have been for 26+yrs and maintenance is life. If those wheels are not turning I am not making money. Break downs cost money in down time, repairs and truck rental. Not cool yo. Always be pro active in maintenance and repairs. It will save you money and headache every time.

You can find out how good an oil is by taking a sample of the virgin oil and the used oil that you take out when you change it, and send them both to a lab that will do a Used Oil Analysis. They will tell you how well it performed in your car, and also detect things like copper particles which could indicate excessive engine wear. This is a good objective test of oil, instead of just saying, "it worked".

As a employee of Warren Dist. inc. for 15 years now, i thank you for the plug...and i can attest to the fact that Scotty is NOT getting any kind of kick back or compensation for this. Warren is far too frugal for that. We are the highest quality , highest customer service , independently owned oil company in the country. I don’t think you can base quality of oil just by looking at the API/SN certification stamp. Every oil will break down differently and contain a completely different additive pack. The best way to compare the different oils, or even see how well the oil works in your particular engine, is to take a sample of oil at the same mileage and send it off to get tested by a used oil analysis lab. This will tell you how well the oil is performing and whether it is actually a good oil or not.

Did you watch the clip? If the oil claims to be 5W40 and is API approved it is on par with all other 5W40 API approved oils; absolutely no need for laboratory testing because API have done the laboratory testing!
