The worst thing about the bleep test is that if you're trying, and unless you can comfortably complete the whole thing like a freak, you're always going to feel dead after it. Whether you're overweight and tapping out at 5 or an athlete and hitting 15, you're always going to feel shit at the end. In conclusion, fuck the bleep test.

Kieran getting close with no training is very impressive, and if you can’t do any of these, you’re in the boat with most of us. Cool video, love the idea. But the 'static jump test' was actually a countermovement jump, not a static jump, and the bleep test bugged me because of the amount of times you turned and continued without the beep... but other than that, loved it. (I'm a sport student, don't @ me)
@omar94khan

Can you explain the intricacies of both drills in detail? I'm genuinely curious
@JJR-Running
@JJR-Running 3 жыл бұрын
@@omar94khan the countermovement jump is what he did, which consists of starting in an upright position, bending the knees and jumping in one fluid motion with hands on the hips, whereas the static jump is the same but starting in a half-squat and holding it for 1-2 seconds before jumping, with hands on hips. The static jump provides raw power from the legs but countermovement jump adds extra momentum so isn't quite as accurate at calculating true power

When you are doing long jumps, when you land, you can't move anymore and you can't touch floor with your hand. It's much easier like that. In middle school I think I jumoed 2.05 meters but I touched ground with hand. Second jump 1.9something and I touched ground again. And last one was 187 and I haven't touched the ground. This just shoves how it's easier to jump longer

The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. Ding A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. Ding Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, ding

I didn't understand what it's all about. What is it exactly?
@Rygabo
@Rygabo 3 жыл бұрын
@@jm-je4tl So there is a distance of 20m - in the video from one cone to the other - and you have to run from one end to the other before the beep. There are 10 beeps per level and it gradually gets faster and faster. Level 1 is pretty much a fast walk. Level 2 is a gentle jog. Levels 3-5 is where it starts to become like exercise and this is where most of the fat kids in our school would bow out in shame. Levels 6-8 is normally when you start to feel fatigued and this was about the school average. At this point you’ve heard the beep 80 times and the horrible, emotionless voice on the tape booms around the school hall telling you for the 8th time that it’s a new level. Levels 8-10 was where the majority of kids that played football/rugby would have to stop as you’re now having to sprint to the other end and your legs are basically jelly after all the bullshit from levels 1-8. Level 10-12 was only achieved by a few and they were mostly long-distance runners. By this point the fat kids had already showered and changed and were waiting for the last kid to drop out so class would end. Good times. Sorry for the long post.

Oh i still remember the bleep test in my school. I have done it once in my life and cant exactly remember when i stopped, must be around level 9-10. I laughed my ass off when some class mates gave up at lvl 3-5, i couldnt imagine how early can someone give up. This shows how fat % is so game changing, and i know my fat % is below average for my age. It was fun and interesting in the first try, but upon finishing it you never ever want to do it again.

That was really good. You didn't spend 19 hours spouting pish at the start of the video or anything, and the video was really well done :) Nice one!

Beside of the continuos training, there are techniques to get the best out of these test. For now, fix the posture of your body and position of your knees and hips for running and jumping.

I saw a guy do 48 on the bleep test in bootcamp. My guy was captain America and could do all of this easily. My man did 8.57 mile and a half, 112 push ups in two minutes, and three minutes of planks because they wouldn’t let him go on after three minutes.
