Adidas used to have an obsession with releasing "the roundest ball ever made" for each World Cup. The Jabulani was the peak of this madness. I've been using almost solely a smaller company called West Coast Goalkeeping for years, and I recently bought a pair of those Adidas gloves out of curiosity for the design. I can say that the Adidas gloves definitely are weird, and compared to my preffered West Coast gloves, they are very tight. That might be why some pros don't like them. It took me like 10 minutes and my teammates help to get them on the first time, and once they're on, it's like a second skin. There's almost no padding to them, compared to my West Coast that have 3mm of latex. Also they're double the price if West Coast so there's that

2:38 there is a light dark pattern on the lighter grey background. It does look a bit like camo pattern. The thing about camo is not just having it the same colour as the background, but it is more about the pattern. Patterns like this makes it harder to discern shapes since movement tend to "blur" the shape a bit. On top the grey blends probably to well with too many backgrounds. So the pattern makes it harder to discern shapes, especially when it moves on top of the background moving, additionally the grey can blend in with too many backgrounds making it really hard to properly discern where the players are or it takes several moments longer to fully focus/discern the object. Those split seconds can make a huge difference

I remember a couple years back when I was a goalkeeper. We had 3 different balls. The Adidas ball showed in this video and Select balls. 1 of the Select balls was fine but the Adidas and the other Select used to wobble around in the air and made it very difficult to see where the ball was going. Our co-coach, who usually held the goal keeper exercises, wondered why I started letting so many in when they brought out the new balls. He decided to have me shoot a few balls at him. More precisely, have 10 shots of each ball. I first shot the good balls and he could save them with relative ease, saving 8/10. When I switched ball, he noticed immediately that the balls were changing direction mid air. He only managed to save 3 of those. And then I shot the Adidas balls at him and he managed to save 5/10.

The issue with the Hypervenom 2 was that they were fundamentally different to the original Hypervenom. I had both models myself and the original Hypervenom had that so called "Nike skin" which was supposed to shape the boot during the break in time to suit the foot more and its surface looked like that of a golfball which gave it extra grip all round. The Hypervenom 2 however completely got rid of Nike Skin and instead had a cage built in to support to foot however in result the boot was a lot stiffer, felt heavier and overall was way more similar to the old T90s than to the Hypervenom 1. Eventually for the Euros 2016 Nike added Nike Skin back to the Hypervenom 2 bc a lot of pros complained about it which is very unusual. Usually the only thing that changes about a model (at least the ones available to the public) during its life span is the different colorways that come out every other month.

It’s about the breathability of the shirts. You’d produce more sweat in one of them and it won’t go away. So they’d absorb more sweat, but not because they’re more absorbent. Some puma shirts were like that though I don’t think they absorbed as much, they just didn’t let your sweat work

Everything was going good until 7:20. Dude they’re not talking about how much water the shirt can hold lmfao they’re referring to the wicking ability (I.e. how quickly moisture can move away from your skin and evaporate, reducing weight, temperature plus more comfort) , I’m sure even as you hold the shirt you would be able to tell it’s a lot denser with tighter stitching while the new shirts are nearly see through. Also you have a bowl there that you could FILL WITH WATER and submerge the shirt if your test was to see which shirt holds more water, but you literally pour the whole water on a stool letting all the water run off. Something tells me you weren’t too good at science? ❤️ 😂

In any sport at maximum performance levels, smallest difference in equipment can have unexpected exponential effect on someone's performance due to how "muscle memory" works and how much player psychology plays integral part in player performance. If the player believes something will degrade or improve his performance, it likely will. In most cases if there is a measurable physical difference, it's just a matter of how long it will take someone to adapt. But you have to apply careful timing to add that adaptation period into already busy schedule and players that are already not perfectly happy with their role in the team or their personal life, might at minimum resist adaptation on a sub-conscious level, which is never their own fault - a club must find ways to deal with sub-conscious tendencies of their players, with lack of self confidence, having too much self confidence, superstitious beliefs, etc. What all things in this video have in common is that those ware all marketing decisions made by marketing experts. Key to sport psychology is same as all psychology, you have to listen and listen impartially, open minded. Key to marketing is not to listen, but to make other people listen and put ideas into their mind. Tough thing to balance out, but important one.

The shirt weight test? You're just weighing water and a shirt, not the liquid retention of the shirt...
