It doesn't matter if you're the last review on this product or not - you've given one of the most valuable insights on this overexposed foundation, getting into extremely honest nitty gritty details. In some ways the hype is real, but there are big caution signs (which has been the general consensus of most other reviewers I've seen); however, thank you for taking the time to lay out all the nuts and bolts regarding the shade, specific wear, etc - also, thank you for calling out the Basma stick as a contrast for texture, because that's great for me to know.

Bought it 2 weeks ago in 24W, 23N, and 21W for my NC 25 skin tone. I found that 24W oxidized two full shades darker, 23N oxidized to a shade darker, and 21W oxidized to half a shade lighter. I have tried it with both sponge and brush: with sponge, it was difficult to not overdo it. With brush it was easy to control the amount. I don't know if I'm putting too much moisturizer on but my foundation slipped around all day. Without moisturizer, this foundation is the most transfer proof of all foundations I've tried. In fact I use it on my neck and almost nothing comes off onto my white collar shirts. It does have great staying power like you noted. And I have only gotten light to medium coverage if I don't want creasing and caking.

I second your review! I usually wear a 23 in Korean cushion foundations, but because I read the reviews that it oxidized and might be too peachy/orange, I went with 21W, which is fair-light yellow. On me, it goes on light, but once it dries down, it starts to match my skin pretty well. I agree, you need a very light hand with this. If you press the cushion in too hard, you can pat some off on the back of the cushion lid. I think it does tend to oxidize more if you’re applying a thicker first layer, so I apply sparingly at first and build a little where needed. Great review, thank you!

this was only the 2nd foundation that made me go wow at myself (the first was the la mer one) in 30+ years of wearing foundations. some favourites are great but it’s rare to catch myself in the mirror hours after application & still go wow. that said, i 100% agree that it can be very tricky to apply & a minimal amount is all you need. to combat texture, what i do is to tap the sponge upwards while doing my cheeks to make sure that the product is evenly distributed in my pores. this is the reason people like buffing or stippling brushes because they do exactly that - push product right into the skin. on my combination skin in humid tropical asia, it is a satin finish that i still prefer to powder over. that said, it is also the only foundation that allows me to use a beautifully light and soft loose powder that is simply too airy & soft to combat shine with all my other foundations. in my experience i have not encountered oxidation, and i’m starting to think, based on reviews so far, that maybe it oxidises when paired with an oil based layer underneath. the tatcha water cream is also one of my moisturisers, on top of which i wear the supergoop unseen screen before the tirtir. the other spf worn on top of a different oil based moisturiser was bioré uv perfect face milk which is again water based. these are the only 2 spfs i have worn under the tirtir & have had no issues. sidenote - i love the eyeliner !! 💗

I tried this foundation and absolutely love it! I am upper 40s with cystic acne prone oily skin with a few scars. I use 21n because it does oxidize a bit. It’s a little light on me but know it will darken slightly. I also use 2N1 in double wear for example. Light skin tone that leans pink / neutral. I do have to set with powder and touch up halfway through out the day. The only thing I didn’t like was the puff. Mine disintegrated 3 days in :-( I have been using a soft-ish kabuki brush to apply and it works well, too. I may have to see if it is offered in a liquid pump style container - that would be perfection!

When I looked it up everything on their Amazon shop says that the Red package is for Combo to Oily Skin. They have a chart on there to show coverage and finish etc. I found it very informative. I am planning on trying the lighter coverage one that better suits normal to dry skin.

I’m 60 years old with very dry, rosacea, prone, skin with some acne scarring on my cheeks… I’ve been using this for about a week straight and with proper moisturizer underneath unbelievable… You must keep it light by gently, patting it into the skin and giving it a chance to dry down I’m a personal trainer and it stays put all day long in the gym. My newest holy Grail… And I must admit I tried it with a very skeptical attitude, but have been pleasantly surprised.

Thank you for this video!! Loved the attention to detail, especially the part where you STRESSED that less is more. Actually - I personally found that all cushions I've used are like that. I actually got a stellar tip from a friend to ensure you don't use too much: After picking up the foundation with the sponge, dab the excess product off onto the pan that the sponge is stored on. You can use the product left on the pan if/when you run out of the product that you picked up on the spong. Ever since I started doing that, I never used too much!

Your reviews are always so informative! I agree with most of what you said. I have normal to dry skin and yes, it's a satin finish unless you over-apply (which I don't recommend). It did oxidize the first time I applied but it didn't surprise me. I think this was developed with Asian skin in mind and they tend to have more yellow undertones. One thing that was different for me, is that it takes a very long time to dry down and stays tacky if I don't set it. But that may also be because it is SOOO humid in Florida right now. It's not my favorite foundation but I do like it. I may order it in a lighter color next time (I got 23N too). Happy 4th of July! Arlene

This foundation looks great on you. I agree the less the better…I am 54 with texture, lines and dry skin. I tap the whole pad (not the tip only, top portion only, bottom portion only…but the whole applicator very very lightly onto the sponge…you should barely see anything on your sponge. I start in the center of my face and spread as much as I can for a perfectly thin layer and it looks amazing.

Im light skinned like you!!! I purposely got 21C because reviews said it oxidized and it has matched me so far! But I use very sparingly just to even out my skin…I actually use it as a concealer under my eyes too…not sure if im suppose to do that but it doesn’t look drying or cakey under my eyes at all..I have normal to dry skin. It looks so good on you!

I believe it is called 'Mask Fit' because it is supposed to be transfer-resistant with respect to face masks, which many in Asian countries wear daily. Thanks for your review. It does look good on you. I bought two x six sample packs and all shades tested dried down darker. Oxidation is not the same as dry-down, so maybe it was your primer or moisturizer that changed the pH of your skin? The best application video I've seen is that of Robert Welsh.

I’m curious if this would be good for a body foundation? I have dark spots on my arms from picking at my KP. I’m always self conscious of my arms and looking for something to even out the discoloration I might give it a try.
@jeanetteh.92405 ай бұрын
To help your KP, use a body wash that has salicylic acid in it. Then leave it on in the shower for as long as you can before rinsing. It will take a while before your dark spots resolve and you stop getting ingrown hairs. If you need more help, try Gold Bond cream for rough and bumpy skin. My best to you.

Good to know the wear length you got out of it… especially in our TN summer heat! The name Mask Fit Red Cushion doesn't mean it gives a Mask look kind of finish. The reason it's name is Mask Fit because the Cushion was released during COVID and it claims to resist smudging from wearing your mask. That's the reason for the name.

@Nick-ei8lt4 ай бұрын
I’m sorry but where do you get that lol? Every Asian based foundation I have ever tried has never ran yellow and a majority of their skin tone products run more neutral. A true neutral will have olive as opposed to yellow. If you’re American and use American foundations then you truly haven’t seen a real neutral foundation.

I love this foundation (oily skin, pores, 57yo). This foundation likely works great in Korea & Japan/Asia--It is VERY HOT over there and VERY humid in a way that we do not have here in the US--not Savannah GA, New Orleans, LA or Florida. I think this foundation was created with their conditions in mind - weather/culture. This looks so good on me the ladies at the Chanel counter in Nordstrom asked what I was wearing as I was buying the Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint!!! THAT says it all!!
