LOVED the chaotic energy of this video! 😆 Mr Charlie's just opened their first overseas store, here in Australia in Sydney! I was never into McDonald's, always hated their burgers even when I ate meat, so I'm not really looking for a vegan simulacrum. I do however LOVE Monty's Good Burger and hit them up every time I'm in LA. I wish Monty's would open a store in Australia! I would get very fat if they did.

Bro this makes me nostalgically crave Veggie Grill, that beach was the original vegan McDonald's. Expensive but so good i used to go as a treat Soda with fast food is licherally a scientifically proven good combo because the act of rinsing the oil away with carbonation is addictive 😭 getting sparkling water and adding liquid water enhancers is a healthier option tho, i can't bring myself to drink a coke without halving it with sparkling either. DIY cherry coke is superior

Up here in the Bay Area, and the only Mr. Charlie's is up in the city. I don't go into the city anymore unless I absolutely have to, so I hope they open more of these further down the peninsula.

I think about my grandma every time I cook or bake a family recipe she handed down to me. Her and I (even though she wasn't vegan, more of a flexitarian) veganized the majority of them and those are the ones I still prepare to this day, she has been gone 7 years. I inherited all of the family recipe cards and cookbooks dating back to the 40's, 50's, it's going to take a while but I want to veganize every recipe I can. Even if I only make it a handful of times. I remember these from my childhood and it just brings back such happy memories.

It brings people together, it creates memories that last a lifetime. Even the preparation of meals like what I had with my grandma creates lifelong memories. Watch out with starches, because they can harbor a bacteria called Bacillus cereus. It makes a deadly toxin that isn't' destroyed when you reheat the food. I'm sure anything could be risky, but wet starches like rice and pasta are notoriously dangerous if left at room temperature.

I love seeing more vegan places pop up! Unfortunately, I live in a small farm town so my options are limited. I mostly eat whole foods from the grocery store bc our fast food establishments don’t offer vegan options. Our Taco Bell had the vegan nacho cheese for about a week & then stopped carrying it. It’s still on the menu but the manager refuses to order more of it.

Monty’s Good Burger Their chicken sandwich, fried or grilled is awesome!! Ask for ranch instead of mayo! Also, Doomie’s in Hollywood great vegan food! Pots & Woks has vegan Chinese food, think Panda Express with the steam tables, and two item combos with fried rice and chow mein. Vegan honey walnut shrimp, mushroom chicken and king pao chicken are my go to’s. But people love the vegan orange chicken. I also love their vegan wings
