When you are really pushing yourself and learning new technique it is definitily possible to push too hard and long. Taking a step away and then coming back to it so many times I've been able to do new things I was struggling with previously almost right away. My theory is we all practice stuff like this when we sleep / dream. You programmed in the 1080 already you just need to sleep now and let the software update itself.
