I’m so glad to hear that Im not the only one having issues with the dual forms... I was so discouraged after trying to use them with no luck at all. I always see them advertised as being the easiest and quickest option, also very beginner friendly, but I had SUCH a hard time getting them good around the perimeter and underneath my nails.

If you the paper form under neath and then the dial form on top you will have no issues

I tried dual forms and my polygel nails lasted at most 1.5 weeks before lifting and getting totally destroyed. With these nail forms, I still have my nails on after 3 weeks with no lifting at all. There’s definitely a learning curve, but I would rather spend more time doing my nails and have them last instead of putting them on quick and having to fix a lifted nail every few days!

Girl, dual forms are the worst for me. I have tried every brand and style out there with no luck. Using nail forms has worked well for me.

I've been practicing using nail forms because dual forms are just to tiny for my nail bed, even the wider ones don't fit. But thank you for this video! This really helps!

I do my nails with nail forms and gel but i wanted to try polygel and dual forms because they look so nice and sleek with little effort, unfortunately i encountered same issue, same brand, lifting from the cuticle before even curing, im glad im not the only one, i thought i was doing something wrong so i tried with the nail form and no more lifting! the best thing about polygel is not as runny as gel and also self level. Perhaps i’ll give it a try, again ,the nail forms other brand later on, i don’t want to be disappointed again. thanks for this video

This video answered all my questions. I have all the materials I need. Polygel is the ONLY material that doesn’t lift for me at home. Once I get the hang of polygel, my next step is to perfect the French manicure. Thanks!!!

Wow u touched up on allll the issues i encounter as a beginner!! Like when u said to wipe with alcohol after curing the base coat. I always thought the gel wont stick if i did though i really wanted to! Thanks for this video

but why do you have to wipe with alchohol the base coat? yes is a little sticky but that's the think is for the gel or polish gel to adhere, I've seen nail techs advise that people are doing this mistake or the cure longer because is too stick ..wrong

I had great sucess the first time I used dualforms (Koper) and my nails lasted a full month. Now I want to try the paper forms and see which system I prefer.

Just got a kit... my nails lasted a whole day ..: I wanted to test them for a fill 12 hour shift.... they made it to about 9o clock... they forms I used did not fit... just ordered the stickers

The biggest faff of dual forms is when you press them on, then attempt to cure them and it doesn’t stick down to the natural nail and then I get such bad lifting

Very informative. Thank you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but could they be lasting longer this way because we don't apply the slip to the side of the poly gel that is connecting to our direct nail??? Mine got slippery and they were just a mess. But I got some nail forms and a drill and I'm ready!

I used nail forms and mine keep popping off too like after a few minutes and some after a couple days and I can’t get them to stop lifting no matter how well I prep my nails

I love the dual forms... if I have to I clip them to fit me. I love the look but the first time they were too thin at the free edge and broke off after a day... then I built them up after doing the dual form to strengthen them , which worked but I was bored and took them off after a week. I've been doing my nails for about ten years add love to change them up often so full cover press on were prefect for me but I had to play around with poly it looked so fun! I've also seen people do the dual form with a regular form underneath too keep underneath from getting to thick!!

What is it you used to take off the sticky layer of base coat? I tried polygel nails using dual forms as a first timer and I found it to be difficult, and the cuticles always lifted that I had to push them down with another finger while curing. I will try the nail forms and see if they work better 🤔

You need to use slip so the polygel doesn’t stick to your brush

You can absolutely just do an overlay on your natural nails. You just wouldn’t be able to make it any longer than your natural nails.

Leora Shulman there are a lot of different sizes that comes in the kit. I have pretty small hands and didn’t have a problem finding a size to fit my nails. There are also different brands of nail forms that are available also. I am thinking about getting one that is more curved to fit some of my fingers because these didn’t fit perfecting into my pointer fingers

I dont like the look of dual forms. My natural finger nails are so tiny. Im not a fan of tips either. I did go to school for gel nails back in 2012. Its been years. So polygel is new to me. Been out of practice and need equipment again. Right away I thought 💭 darn polygel should work with forms. Your nails look FAB! Thanks 🙏🏼 so much for the video
