Take your time, Alex! You have been doing a superb job as a KZbinr during these years. Try to reorganize yourself and comeback stronger. I am also very interested in finance and the stock market, hopefully you can create this content also in English.

Have you considered doing collaborations with other KZbinrs in Finland? There are some English speaking ones - especially foreigners living in Finland - whom I think you could do content together like visiting certain sights, exchanging experiences, etc. That could also bring you a new audience and new business acquaintances.

Hi Aleksi, you have been doing a wonderful job since many years, I have recently shifted to Finland and your videos helped me a lot in my journey. Your videos and contents are very helpful and informative for any immigrants. We really liked them and will continue to do so. I wish you will come back to this channel and keep doing good work along with your full time job. I am sure your videos will get more and more views as Finland is inviting more immigrants these days. I wish I could meet you one day, I also stay near Kallio. If you're planning to make finance based videos in Finnish, I think you should also make a video with same content in English and upload here on this channel. You can also collaborate with other youtuber outside of Finland. We wish you all the best for future.!!

What I got from watching your channel is that Finnish people are very genuine and have a good head on their shoulder about their life direction. Thank you for sharing, I really in general like the way Northern Europeans seem like the most healthy living human beings on the internet, unlike a lot of my North American neighbors being 24/7 toxic on reddit 🇸🇪🇫🇮🇳🇴👍

Hey Aleksi, I have been watching your videos as they help me understand Finland as a country, culture and people better; given that I am there at least annually.- for EdTech and Pedagogy related businesses. I have done multiple roadtrips in Finland, it's never enough for me. I agree with you totally that Finland is more than Helsinki (though it is an amazing capital). Finland is the first country that made me feel that I've walked into "Narnia". The first lake that I fell in when the ice was too thin. All the way to Utsjoki embracing the cold, unable to start the car and the lacked of connectivity to connect more with my inner self. I enjoy watching your videos. It is sad that doing this full-time has led you to a state of being depressed and burnt out. I always thought nothing brings greater joy than to be working in one's passion. However, doing it all alone is tough. Hopefully, you will be back soon, sharing more parts of Finland withe the rest of the world as there is much left to be discover. For now, I hope you get all the time you need to recover. Thank you for the content you have produced and I shall continue my support on the linguistic products you have created. Till then, stay safe. JT

Oh man I know what you talk about. I quit my regular job as a sales manager in January 20 when the pandemics started to work from home as a "trading license owner" in IT support. My man how alone and stripped of contact was I during the lockdowns. The only thing keeping me high was my wife and son bringing joy to our flat. But you can imagine being closed together all the time also brought many problems too. But we struggled through it and we're still happy together. I wish you luck and joy hoping everything you do turns to gold and fun. Thank you for opening your heart and mind.

Hi Aleksi, I just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed your videos. You are smart and funny and so helpful for others. Thanks for honestly sharing your experience of the last year from facts to emotions, much appreciated! I hope your break will give you the needed social interactions, new ideas and you regain your power to start again. Regarding the financial course I would suggest (if it's not too challenging/ time consuming, etc) to try it in English as well, because there are heaps of people who need more financial savviness and would benefit from your style and simply understandable ways and so could you too! You have way more potential than you think in depressed times! Way more! Looking forward to the entrepreneur Aleksi to bounce back refreshed whenever he is ready! 🕺

This is the reason that along with my entrepreneurship (online mental health and relationships counseling services) I am working as a substitute at a school, for 2-3 days/week. Hi Aleksi! I share your pain working remotely in Finland. I live in Helsinki and I've been working remotely in my own small apartment here, and unlike you I don't have a pet and a partner, so I'm even more isolated! It gets terribly lonely since I don't go out much because of my work and I have no much contact other than my colleagues online. The Finnish winter even makes it worse. But strangle I've gotten used to this setup, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Isolation can be difficult. If it's not for you, it's not for you. It was absolutely worth trying, and you won't have any regrets for trying. Good idea to take a break, come back with a fresh mind, and do it for fun again. Doing a finance channel in Finnish would be good, it will open the market for you. As much as I enjoy your channel, I'm not your target market for the advice you provide as living in Finland is not on the cards for me. But I'm sure there are plenty of young and up and coming Finns who would love the advice on navigating finance in Finland. Congratulations on the new job!

Thanks for this video and your honesty. I found your channel a few weeks ago after I decided to learn Finnish. The UMK this year was so good and inspired me to learn. I even started doing Finnish videos in addition to my Eurovision stuff. And I totally understand what you mean about how content creation as a full time job is a double edge sword. Years ago that's what I was doing but stopped when it stopped being fun. Now I do videos when I feel inspired and it brought the joy back. Good luck at your new job and wishing you the best from USA.

Hey Aleksi, thanks for all the videos you made for those interested on Finland but also moving there eventually, I found it very encouraging and fun. Sure, we all get burn out eventually from certain routines and hence one should asks himself if that's the way to go. One of the reasons why I want to move is basically I can't just push myself on doing the same things I used to enjoy, feels something it's off, then you realize something has to change to flow again and eventually rise up. This is exactly why this video of yours is very inspiring to me to make me do the things I feel they are right, and then come back to my roots if I feel the need to. Hopefully I can move this summer to Finland, and who knows, would love to have a coffee with you, you are a good dude. All the best on the future projects.

Haha, I just stumbled across your channel a couple of days ago after booking some tickets to Helsinki in September! Poor timing on my part, but I'm learning a lot about Finnish culture (and Helsinki travel logistics!) by going through what you've already posted, and I really appreciate your work. Glad you're making the right decisions for your needs, though. If it's not too much to ask, would you consider, after your well-deserved break, doing a video on neighborhoods to consider staying in when visiting Helsinki? All the best! Just my two cents on feeling lonely on making videos, I think it is something fundamentally at odds with what it takes to succeed as a content creator on most social media - you do need to be an extrovert to a certain degree to succeed, but you often work alone. Perhaps collabs might mitigate it and balance things out? Not an expert, but just throwing out some thoughts.

Thanks for your video about working as a full time KZbinr. I’m working on my channel but I am constantly moving from one country to another. Yea I live alone but on other way I feel like I’m like Madonna on my own “celebration” tour haha… I’d love to learn more about KZbin but in a way it’s really lonely indeed… living only in social media… And other things after watching videos about Finland… I’m thinking about going to Latvia (my ethnic homeland) and basically it’s really true about making friends and introvert sets of mind in northern and Baltic countries… By the way there are so many people working from home and they are employed in traditional jobs

Hello from Moscow! Aleksi, you SURELY deserve rest and vacations! It s a normal and so underestimated human right that people should really value more. So please take a really good rest, no thinking about videos and content, and come back fresh and happy! You did such a great difference with your channel. I started to watch videos about Finland around 2019, when I had a dream of travelling to your country by train to enjoy Finnish beautiful nature and calm environment ( living in Moscow that is what I call real luxury, not the expensive cars and clothes and other useless stuff!). Naturally I started to watch russian speaking youtubers first, but soon got so disappointed by their mostly narrow presentation and often too practical approach (not in a good way, but on the other hand it was understandable since they were immigrants there, and life of immigrant is always difficult and focused on surviving). Then I came across your videos and they made more sense to me. I really liked your openness and simple style, and even when you talk about very practical things like costs and finances you sound easy breazy and fun. Thank you for creating your channel, you have done a really difficult and great job, and contributed a lot into intercultural communication and understanding. I wish you to find a way to feel satisfaction of your work, and balance in your life (hint: there are courses for that too), and to earn enough to fulfill your dreams!

Moi!

I'm already interested in the new channel but the problem is that I'm still learning finnish and I know it would be hard to understand even 50% of the content, but for the finnish audience it would be great. If there would be subtitles then it can also work for us foreigners living or interested in living in Finland. Btw I learned a lot from your videos in general but especially lately the ones about housing and buying a house and all that stuff because eventhough I lived here for 3 years I didn't really come across those info or found them in aclear simple way as I got from the videos. Thanks and good luck.

I really liked your videos years ago and now you pop up in my browsing with this message Y_Y. i was searching on how Finland looks like, then you showed up with a mic or hat looks like chicken and you started to ask people questions and other stuff. You always have been a statistic man, why not discussing these statistics with public, i know you said they are shy 😅, but for a change you also could be travel guider and do a lot of stuff with your channel

Loving your videos Aleksi. I'm moving to Finland in 3 weeks for work, and I'm coming with my dog! Do you have any advice about living in Finland with a dog? I believe they're not allowed off the leads anywhere except in designated dog parks... is that true? Am I able to walk into nature and let my dog off the lead?
@AleksiHimself

That is true. You can't let your dog off the leash in the nature either unless you have a written permission of the landowner.

Hope you'll find the courage to try therapy - in addition to all other things you could do to be 100% true to yourself. Your are so *multitalented* it is a rather unusual problem, I guess, so it is in your own value-system you need to find your compass and rudder. It is nothing wrong in experimenting and testing, and correct your course all the time. Great that you've found out that being isolated was not for you, it might be good for your focussing but not for your creativity - all the best wishes for getting a grip on the strands that together are your strength and give you peace of mind. (Daily journalling both freely and with a system can be helpful!) I've been much entertained by your videos, thanks to your humour and openness. All the best wishes!

Great that you gave it a bash though! Personally, I hate working from home, not that I’m some social animal, my Finnish really sucks but I just love the routine, the colleagues, the commute etc. Good luck with whatever you do in future. If you can do some finance stuff in English that’d be great. I’m relying too much on the missus for financial advice and … well ….. ye know …. Women be shoppin’ (only kidding) but seriously it’s something I should take a bit more responsibility with.
