The funny thing about Infinite World is that I never played it as a kid because I always saw it as just Budokai 3. And even though you can say that it’s Budokai 3.5, it’s still unique in its own way and it does have a few differences that do make it stand out.

This was such a cool way of experiencing infinite world I loved this video! I had always overlooked Infinite World as just a Budokai 3.5 but it looks like it really refined the gameplay in the series. I'm going to go back and give it an actual chance.

Loved this video. @20:30 your monologue about overcoming your own personal struggles to break through challenges and reach a better more fulfilled version of yourself is pretty much the core of Dragon Ball. Tied in beautifully with the theme of the subject. Didn't even make it a central focus of the video, just a great story of changing your perspective to reach something higher randomly dropped in the middle of reviewing the game lol. Proud of you. 👌

Infinite world was so hard for me when i first played it as a kid, i remember getting stuck in the frieza fight to the point where i couldn't finish the story, while budokai 3 has it's fair share of annoying hard fights like frieza, every majin buu fight, majin vegeta and the tournament fights, at least you had the ability to go around the world and gather ki points by fighting the saibamen over and over to grind them and upgrade it, this game's mini games in the story tries to give you the illusion that these all happened in story which i think isn't bad since budokai 3 only told you bits of the events, but the mini games turned out ridiculously hard and strict with their timing especially the tag game with adult Gohan and gotenks but i still love this game.

I have that whole thing about feeling stupid whenever I struggle with something too. In therapy, I discovered it was because my parents ingrained the idea that failure means incompetence and incompetence was heavily scorned and punished, like when my dad would yell at me when he was helping me with my homework. "I'm struggling" easily can turn into "I'm an idiot and need to be punished for it" because we're all operating on our childhood programming. Not saying this is the case for you too, but just some food for thought.

DBZ Infinite world is one of my childhood DB Games. recently came back to it through the use of an emulator and it's even better than I remember. and much much more difficult. I've finished the game completely without the use of any items or health capsules (Fighter's body) but only using skills/attack capsules. and it's an extremely hard game for sure that I adore. I'm currently on a mission to finish all of dragon mission fights on Z difficulty while getting the Z rating. that means if You miss 3 rating stars in total You get a rating less than Z. makes it so requiring using all of the possible fighting techniques and have to do it very fast while Your health never going down to below three bars. obviously since I'm not using any items or health increases it's much difficult. I've got Z on EVERY fight Expect Videls fights because it's impossible to do Teleport attacks (though I've manged to get Z with pan somehow) So You really can't cheese it all that much or even be laid back about it. seeing other people talk about this underrated gem only makes me like it even more.

I can tell you how infinite world determines which ultimates have struggles… and it’s so dumb, if they’re a new character that wasn’t in budokai 3 they don’t have a struggle(prolly because they didn’t want to have to make 2 different ultimate animations)

8:10 The combo cancel mechanic is actually intentional. The AI is programmed to do it as well. Pretty insane they have the AI use competitive tech to murder you. Imagine playing Super Smash Bros. Melee on Very Hard then the cpu players start wavedashing all over and L cancels every aerial. Edit: For those struggling with cancels, try changing your Guard button to R1 or R2. This makes canceling SO much easier.
