What an incredible set of runs! Just in awe of how quickly you pick up on the nuances of games you pick up. You keep posting, I'll keep watching - thanks for all the content!

Whenever a Slay the Spire video pops up for me, it just increases my temptation to reinstall the game yet again. Though maybe I should try out Monster Train, since someone did gift that to me recently.

This whole run Carl was tempted by shinies, followed by admitting that he was taking too many cards lol. If he had ignored the anti-synergistic orb cards like the capacitors and coolheadeds and storm, the deck would have immediately bulldozed through everything instead of just being kinda threatening. The ultimate moment of shinies was when Carl took those amplifys and thunder strikes lmao. Also NEVER upgrading Dualcast was really funny and a bit frustrating tbh, Dualcast is _very_ strong as a 0-cost card and I counted more than 20 times where it would have made a very large difference when he was playing. But for this being Carl’s fifth or so run, it is a very impressive showing, and it’s not like Carl _wasn’t_ gonna be tempted by shinies lol

You definitly can reach elites with 1 hp sometimes and i highly love that perk on the bot guy you are playing becouse especally for him a few card rewards change soooo much on this char

And because it's satisfying to end a battle immediately without playing a card and just letting your one lightning kill the enemy
@CaiisGaming7 ай бұрын
@@Nikowo1610 yes that too :D but for silent and bot guy its just an amazing upside for the other two classes its not that great in my opinion

I really like how fast you pick up the core mechanics of the game. I struggle for so long to play this game the right way, because I always leave the run and go straight back, to restart a fight whenever I want. I don't know if it's cheating if the game allows it.

there is an all for one defect combo, where you use 2madness on all for one and/or hologram and just infinitely alternate hologram and all for one, dealing 14 damage and gaining 5 block for each
@Neterim697 ай бұрын
I had the -silliest- shit one time (on only that one time); got 2 All for one and 2 Madness, basically rotating both of em infinitely

Continuing to really enjoy watching this series (slowly but surely)! Also I love how deceptive people's user names can be, for instance "KillerKill420" came in on that heart fight and was exceptionally polite and respectful. Much love to you and special

People disrespecting Coolheaded while pretending to know what they're talking about is so funny. It's an essential piece in like 75% of every successful defect run.

People underestimate draw so much
@reaperz56777 ай бұрын
Is it really that useful, though? From my experience, thenpassive +3 block it gives is negligible at best, and there are other cards that drae more cards for less of a price. Is it really THAT important?
@ThomasWinget7 ай бұрын
@@reaperz5677 it's +2 (or more with focus) block *per turn* as long as you keep the orb, plus if you're full on orbs it evokes one. It's pretty good. The upgrade giving draw 2 is also sweet.
@ThomasWinget7 ай бұрын
@@reaperz5677 it entirely depends on what cards you see. It's not *the best defect card ever* but I'd argue it's still usually a good pickup on floor 1 and maybe floor 2 unless you have a great reason not to. It's not about "is there a better card out there?" but rather "is picking this up more likely to be good for me than bad in the long run?" and there are a lot of factors that play into that; opinions will differ and I don't think there's an objectively correct answer. Some cards are "obvious bait" and some are "no-brainer take" but this one I think (hell, just the fact that we're having this discussion...) falls in-between.

Have you ever started something, and not finished it, or just taken a break and gone back later? Even when it's something you really liked? I started this channel to be able to enjoy games at my own pace without constantly worrying about whether I was disappointing other people. Sadly, it seems like it's impossible to be a content creator without constantly diasppointing people (there's always a different type of content someone else wants). Comments like yours make me want to delete this channel entirely.
