@@peachypanda57 Probably very, A lot of people want to be around loved ones in a time of loss, and significant others usually fall into that category. I met a cousins partner at my great grandmothers funeral.

A third option of museum buildings (other than boring boxes or buildings with brick-work) are buildings converted from something else into a museum. I grew up visiting the NY Transit Museum, which was an old decommissioned subway station that they turned into a transit museum. The Hermitage in Russia used to be a palace. The Hemingway Home and Museum was just a home (obviously, hah). If you come up with a good story, I think you could use any building. This isn't just a blue suburban, it's the former home of a famous scientist - this nursery is where she discovered the ability to travel to the planet Sixam! A church, a coal mine, a factory, a creepy haunted looking house... I think in Sulani, the underneath of the sunken ship would be a really cool museum. I'm turning it into an indoor playground though, I've got a family of werewolves visiting that get grouchy when rained on.

Your comment about museums usually being old is so true. My state's State Museum was built in an old textile mill, the building itself dating back to 1894. In fact, it was the first 100% electric textile mill in the world. There is a replica of the H.L Hunley, the first submarine to sink an enemy ship and on the second floor, there is a recreation of a 3.6 million year old megalodon suspended from the ceiling. It's a beautiful museum, it even has a planetarium and an observatory as well as a 4D theater. I haven't been there in years but I would love to go again, I love history.

Kayla, I love what you do. I love openness and honesty you bring to your community. You are such a kind and caring person and that radiates through what you do. I do believe, you sell yourself short sometimes. You are talented and creative. Your rough attempts (the previous version of your museum that you're not sharing) make you relatable. I would absolutely love to watch you be indecisive while working on a bathroom because it's a thing we all do. Even by acknowledging that you do these things, you are helping people understand that it's okay to have trial and error while building. It's easy to watch simmers build and get discouraged because it feels impossible to do what you guys do. To see the humanity of it, and to see that even some of the best builders in the game have to work at it. Anyway, Thank you for being a constant positive force in the sims community.

I built a museum back when Newcrest came out, and it was quite a challenge. I did the same as you, and added the large things like the telescope (which I put down in a pit, it actually looked pretty nice). I also included all of the base game collections, which was really fun to make rooms for each collection. I just went to the gallery and found the museum isn't there anymore, but all the single rooms with the collections are still there, so I might try to build it again someday.

Went back there yesterday and when i opened the CAS, "Ewww what is this fakeass Alpha CC pretendee hairs" Really appreciate the scroll bar with name details tho, as now that i am a little bit more conscious about appearance and wanting to know more of the parts of the face and their respective names.

The term you were looking at when talking about Disney and other modern stuff is "Retro Futurism". It's a term for when a time from the past projects their ideas of the future on to style, architecture, or whatever. Think what Back to the Future thought of the Future, or the original Star Trek or any of those old Sci-Fi movies from the 50s and 60s. You can tell it's the future, but the future brought you from an older mindset.

I know you're not taking suggestions about the wedding (well, obviously considering it happened today lol), but just thought I'd throw this out there for future reference...no matter what you wear, just DONT WEAR WHITE! Lol. Or, I guess, whatever color the bride is wearing. That's really the biggest wedding etiquette thing I can think of...dont want to show up the bride or take any attention away from her! Hahaha Anyways, hope that it was enjoyable and you had a really fun time. AND that Dan meeting the rest of your family went well...I'm sure we'll all hear about it during your next speed build. Lol. Oh, and yeah, great job on the museum build too!! I like how you put in a kids' section, considering many cities (at least in the U.S.) have some form of a children's museum. Soo, good choice! 👏🏻😁

I feel like you would have found some inspiration from a museum in Arkansas called crystal bridges! As always though, your build looks amazing!!

I built a huge library in New Crest with a similar "all big machines" vibes, with chess tables and a basketball hoop out the back and like a little cafe, sort of as a way to cover all sims needs on one lot and actually thought it turned out pretty cool...until I saw this build....

Did no one see the picture of the Tragic Clown on the second floor she carefully kept pointing the camera away from? No? Just me? Okay, but love the build! It looks like theres heaps of room to add to it, too!

I absolutely love when you just talk about your life! And so does everybody else whos here. They aren't "stupid" subjects!! We wouldn't be here if we wouldn't wanna hear how you are and whats going on:) but i understand how it can feel silly etc. But seriously don't worry about it!! The topics are important to you and to us! ily! (Im really bad at explaining, but i hope you got what i tried to say)

Love the idea of the science daycare so much that I think it should be it’s own separate lot :o (summer camp + children daycare vibes)

The realistic thing that you were talking about it called the uncanny valley effect and it freaks people out a bit because they look so real and it's a really interesting thing to theorize about.
