Even though it was pretty clear to us fans that this was not Joel's favorite barbecue, he still did an excellent job of talking up the food to make the owners feel good about what they do, (which they should, since even having half-decent barbecue at a drive-thru is an accomplishment). To be honest, it doesn't even really look like that much compared to other amounts of food that he usually eats.. In fact, i would most likely chug that away myself without much issue..

My girlfriend and I just recently shared a bbq sample platter about 2/3rds that size. It was the only meal we ate all day, we were super stuffed and we had leftovers for breakfast. These bbq challenges are no joke. Dude is a savage.
