Love that you're playing this game again! also btw at beginning of the week when Ryoba is talking about the rival she drops hints as to how your supposed to "canonically" eliminate the rivals, for example when Ryoba said "perhaps I should ruin their budding relationship" you were supposed to sabotage their events so that senpai rejected her confession, which although you can eliminate them however way you want (as you could've literally gone up to your rival and stabbed her with a knife) doing the canon elimination will help you get the better ending! (all except the 1st, 7th, 8th, 9th, and somewhat the 10th have unique eliminations)

at the start where they interduce the rivals there are hints in the the words that Ryoba says of how you get rid of the rivals at the end. you get marked by how well you did in getting rid of the rivals in the right way so you do it right because you also get diffrent endings by the mark you get. the best mark you can get is S+ standing for super+ and if you get that mark you get the true ending.

just so u know, thease are the correct ways to eliminate the rivals in 1980s mode (remind me if i got anything wrong) kaguya wakaizumi: sabotaging her interactions moeko rakoyuna: pouring gasoline in the watering can she uses to put out the fire she lit near the pool Honami hodoshima: crushing her with a bookshelf in the library sumiko tachibana: poisoning the bento she makes in the home ec room ritsuko chikanari: put a sign in front of the pool in the morning so students avoid the pool, put sedative in ritsuko's bento and wait until 4 pm after cleaning time and push her into the pool when she's sleeping Ai doruyashi: take the electrical wire thing from the 3rd floor, get a bucket of water and pour the water bucket on the sports club stage and plug the electrical outlet thingy behind the curtains and sabotage the oulet when no one's looking. when ai is singing, press ''electrocute''. then she will be electrocuted. i reccomed doing this in cleaning time for the bucket of water and with so suspicion teiko nabatasai: get her expelled by framing her for breaking the rules komako funakoshi: gossip about her or use the newspaper clup to gossip about her until her reputation is -150. chigusa busujima: matchmake her with her suitor. her suitor walks up to her gazing lovingly at her. complete their tasks and look up a tutourial or ask me how to matchmake her if u want to know sonoko sakanoue: befriend her. burn all of the bags in the insane asylum and serve her normal tea feel free to ask me how to eliminate them if u wanna know for hnami moeko kaguya and sumiko

Hey Lauren! Basically to help you with eliminating the rivals, when you get introduced to each rival it gives you help on how to eliminate each rival (for example the first says to sabotage their relationship and to make senpai reject, and the second says if you play with fire you get burned that is relating to her own specialised death.) I hope that can help you just a little bit with eliminating each rival :)

Quick tip (not sure if someone else has said this already) if you put a note in someone’s locker, you can talk to them and send them to their locker. Also, in order to do the befriend/betray method, you need to complete the rival’s task first. Hope this helped and I hope you continue 1980’s mode!

Also, here’s a tip on defeating the first rival: for Monday you need to put sedative in senpai’s bento, this will make him think bubblegum hair did something to it, like on Tuesday, you needed to steal the book from bubble gum hair, if bubblegum loses the book, senpai will be upset, hence lowering their relationship, and so on! So basically, sabotage their interactions.
