Both RE4:R and BG3 deserve GOTY. I'm a pretty big fan of the RE series. Not as big as Bawk but I like to consider myself a pretty loyal fan. That holds no merit in this comment but I say this because I actually was not a huge fan of the original RE4. I played it on every platform possible. I tried so hard to get into it. When RE4:R came out I was blown away. Though things were cut, as things like that typically happen, it was a pretty fantastic game. I got hands on for BG 3 as well and while I'm not a huge DND player myself, I did see the care put into that as well. I'm bias in that I would love RE4:R to have light shine on it. The world for the most part understands why BG3 is great. If you're involved in video games. I want the world to see why RE4:R is so fantastic. It isn't just a simple 1:1 Remake like Dead Space was (mostly). This really set the bar for Capcom to remake other games and sold very well. Remake 5. They can skip CV if they'd like. It really didn't have much going for it narratively other than Chris & Claire talking about attacking umbrella at the end which they didn't really bother to expand on other than non canon games. In my opinion, replace Jill for Sheva. Sheva be a support character in Josh's squad. Re-write the entirety of Jill being controlled. Or have it still happen and Sheva shows up and you do the same fight and once that's over you take control of Jill again. Jill deserved to drop Wesker in that finale. Retcon 6. Good gameplay if it wasn't slapped with RE on it.

Totally agree on the remake vs remaster thing. We also have games like TLOU giving remaster like Super Mario RPG and RE0HD bad rep because they aren't doing like anything at all to remaster the game, whereas the latter update the games completely and even add new modes and whatnot. It's just a release with a title suffix.
