This mower is decent for flat, small lawns. It doesn't perform well in lawns with slopes or taller grass. I have one and this is what I've noticed.

The problem with current electric mower is the batteries run time and if the lawn is not completely dry or if it is kind of long. You might have a issue.

How big of a yard do you think a battery mower won’t do I have an 800sq block with a modest 3bed home in SEQ. It has 2 larger areas the require mowing With the recent rain it been double cut weekly on the same 9&6 ah 18v batteries

How many years does the battery last. Gotta buy a new mower. The 8ah battery from ryobi is $279 That $279 would be 8+ years worth of gasoline for mowing my yard.

Does that include fuel stabilizer, new plug, air filter, fuel filter, and carburetor cleaning every year? I do lawn care commercially and i believe that most home owners would be served quite well with a battery mower of the appropriate size, but maintenance and storage are of the utmost importance! A gas mower can be neglected, left outside in the cold shed all winter with old gas, and its a simple matter of adding fresh fuel and cleaning the carburetor with a $10 spray can to get it running if it doesn't start come spring. If you run the carb empty of fuel before putting it away there wont be any problems. The mower itself could sit in the cold shed, but the batteries require climate control and various states of charge depending on chemistry, lead acid likes to be fully charged for storage, Lithium ion should be at around 50%... One winter outside without being charged could ruin the battery. I recommend getting the same brand as the cordless power tools you have, so you can use the batteries you already have!

There other ryobis in the lineup, battery powered is reasonably low maintenance other then cleaning and replacing the blade after a few months, I like the 36v 42cm model with the 4amph bat or 5amph bat, they are very light and are wide and easy to use

Craftsman V20x20 Electric either push or self propelled. I'm a 41 year old woman and cut, edge, and weed my 1,325 sq ft yard. It's lightweight, easy to push and had a 21" base. No oil or gas. Push button start.
