This was extremely helpful, maybe even better then solely do your own lightening setups because we get to see a contrast in approach and refinement. Question about the course, how much of your course consist of your existing KZbin videos? I’m hesitant to purchase the course if the content is the exact videos from your channel. Even if it is, does the course consist of more content? Thanks for your reply.

Magnificent. What i learned here is that. 1. We place our objects and props in a room/space. 2. We block all light and darken the room completely. 3. Then we start to add light gradually to create that chiaroscuro effect. 4. We add a little bit of haze. 5. We check all in the monitor if get are getting a good composition/framing/light&shade. 6. We start to shoot. Did i learned the lesson well?

Maestro Andbery! Its good to have you again, and now with more budget friendly gears, like the bmpcc and godox :D Of course your RED, and Arri HMI videos are great too, but I belive for most of us, its a more achievable to learn the capacities of these props, so Im glad you using these again :) Btw in the future, will you only review those "homeworks" who are the paying students of your course, or do you mean that any of your followers who send you their "homework" have a chance to be reviewed and recreated?

@ANDBERY
@ANDBERY 2 жыл бұрын
It depends on definition of key light. When I'm saying about key, I mean major light source in the scene, which light on the character (and maybe a scene a little). The key word is main light, not side light.

Work of student number 1 was excellent. I'm sorry to say your remake version is very KZbin style. To much haze, to much blur in a scene that didn't need it also lighting on the subject face to having to much shadow giving it a darker horror feel rather then inviting and natural. When I first saw the thumbnail I thought the student was yours. This is the classic case where less is more in my opinion.
