I love how this doesn't show the contrast between the organized squadrons and the suicide swordfish that kept charging from left. But I hate that the swordfish kill boards didn't work properly, as quite a few swordfish, including myself, got a few kills on the destroyers and torpedo boats. Red squadron FTW.

@BCG_Blitz very sure the tirpitz and the hipper got bombed and torpedoed. The scharnhorst got blown up by a bomb i think and the gneisenau upon bombing didn't get repaired. The british didn't chase them with their fleet and much more wrather with their bombers.

@BCG_Blitz the tirpitz stayed in port for 99% of it's existence. It only rolled out once and didn't get very hard damaged by the cruisers. Some mini subs fucked it up do with a lot of bombers.

@BCG_Blitz the tirpitz wasn't involved in the chanal dash. It stayed in a port in norway for it's intire lifetime only moving 3 times out to fight. It got bombed very often of wich most were not succesfull. The real game player was the mini sub that laid mines under the tirpitz. I don't know how you came to conclusion that the tirpitz got chased by cruisers.

Well, it depends. Realistic, if she was build to survive few torpedo hits then yeah. You can look up as there had been some ships able to survive one or two torpedo hits and limp home for repairs. Like USS Saratoga. I dont know how many times she got torpedoed by a sub, but she still managed to limp home for repairs. I also think it depends where the torpedo hits on the ship. Like if it hits where the ammo is stored

Try taking The Admiral Hipper and (My favorite Shipgirl of Camp Iron Blood) Prinz Eugen of the Hipper class Heavy Cruisers, Köln and Karlshue of the K/Karlshue class Light Cruisers, and 12 Destroyers of various classes from Type 1934 to Type 1936A (Mob). You will have Air Cover in the form of Bf-109E's and Bf-110 C-2's. You will also be avoiding a collection of British and American Surface units as well as enduring Air Attacks by Swordfish and Beaufort's with Torpedoes escorted by Spitfire Mk. 1's and F4F-3 Wildcats escorting SBD-3 Dauntless' and TBD-1 Devastator's, dive bombing and Torpedo bombing you respectively. Would also like to see you try this challenge out again once the Scharnhorst's and any other Capital ships come out.

For those of you who are curious, when the Germans were in port originally, they would cover the area is smoke to protect the boats from British aircraft/bombers. When the boats left, they managed to dodge an British scouting party but those at port still put up the smoke screen. It wasn't until they made good distance in the channel before actually being spotted.

There is one little correction i would like to make about your Statements on the Channel Dash beeing Blind luck, although it still played a part in the Success. The Germans were employing a kind of close Air suport from the Luftwaffe, wich was so effektive, that only a few of the attacking RAF aircraft made it throug, although none of them Scored a hit.
