I would have never expected Aggy to play Spore so I will thank Chris for making it possible. Loved that game as a teenager despite its obvious shortcomings.

I feel like evolution games just do this. Evolution is already kinda chaotic so games about it, especially inaccurate ones, just bring out a "rules were meant to be broken" side of KZbinrs.

I read this comment before starting the video and I assumed you were talking about the tribal or civil stage, but nope. Like 3 min in and he’s just playing in the creature creator lol. Which is fine, game is fun to watch regardless

Tribal stage is a super fun stage once you understand it. The problem is that the game just expects you to understand it without explaining anything. The only way I figured it out as a kid was by talking with my other friends who had been shown by another person.

I've honestly gotten so sick of nothing but repetitive Elden Ring content to the point I don't even care about the DLC cus it's just gonna be a rehash of a lot of old run ideas that are gonna look about the same. The only reason I'm still subbed to Aggy is for the variety content. I loved golfing with da boiz (and Parky).

spore even has achievements for speedrunning, 8 mins in cell stage, 1 hour creature i think and 1 hour civilization stage in hard mode. We dont talk about the worst stage, tribal.

Tribal is not the worst stage lol. Well at least I don't think it is. The problem is that Aggy didn't make any allies and just killed everything but his own during the previous stage. During that stage you are supposed to explore and align yourself with the strongest and most intelligent species. If you are strong enough you can even tame and befriend one of the boss giants and if you keep him alive he will stay with you until the end of time.

We had spore on a PC at the leisure center at our school when I was 11-12 and I have a vivid memory of impressing a crowd of other kids with my spore skills because my friend has it on his PC at home so I had already played it

I don't think he takes these things seriously and is only really doing it for the views. I still unironically like it though cus it's fun seeing him do new stuff and have fun instead of just the same Elden Ring stuff but the slightest tiniest bit different each time.

If you ever do play this game again you have to focus on making the most versatile and intelligent species. You messed up a lot during the Cell Stage by not getting enough parts and you didn't really explore or develop relationships after that. As you explore the entire planet there are giant boss creatures roaming around and eventually once your species is strong and numerous enough you can actually tame them. It's pretty important to do this because I'm pretty sure it's the only stage of the game that you can. Once those guys have been tamed and become members of the pack if you can keep them alive they will stick with you until the end of time. It's wholesome and gives you a significant military advantage. The guy in chat was right when he said that it was better in the long run but he didn't really explain why. During other stages of the game those species that survive alongside you will evolve and develop their own relationships too. If you run around killing every species that you meet then almost every single one of them that matters will gang up on you and try to kill you during the next two stages. It's one of the reasons that being a Carnivore is a harder route because late game those traits don't matter when you are getting blown up by weaponry and your food supply is significantly more limited.
