I had the same experience with these products. I thought it was just me. I think the leave in was the problem. So I took the leave in out and I replaced it with curly magic from Uncle funky’s daughter and voila. I had an amazing wash and go.

I emulsify the gel in my hands prior to applying to my hair. I’m not sure if it prevents flakes but I don’t experience any flaking.

My hair just doesn't care for gels with xanthan gum in them. I think it's a great brand though.

When products tell me to use on soaking wet hair...... 😂😂😂 I ignore it lol. Just like with Kinky Curly and other ones I still apply and style it on damp hair. When I do this I don’t have to use as much product, the styler works better, and I get super defined results! Maybe try that with your custards for wash and goes. I do the same thing for my twist outs too. Wet hair don’t work for me 😉

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not the water that messes it up; it's the Xanthan gum. My hair does not like it and I've tried enough gels and custards to know. So with that said, I don't think I will be trying any more products with that ingredient in the top 5 or 7. It will have to be wayyyyyy down on the list for me to try it. NaturalRaeRae oh yeah dang I remember you saying that after I wrote this comment. But that definitely makes since. That’s how my hair acts with Glycerin in stylers in the top 5 ingredients. Especially the top two. I can’t remember if I’ve tried a product recently with Xantham gum 🤔 but Thanks lady for clearing that up for me 😊

I have just watched 5 videos and we are all questioning ourselves. Its the product!! I've tried it 3 times and I can't do it. The flakes are so bad 😫. I really wanted this product to work.

It has a learning curve for sure and the gel is not for me, but the 4 in 1 cream is really good for moisture and for twist outs. If you haven't tried it, you should, no flakes with it. Thanks for watching!

Make sure your hair is super wet and you only use a very little bit of gel. That is what everyone is saying works. I on the other hand I still can't get with the gel. The twist butter is nice though. Thanks for watching!

I use it with the leave in on hair that is not dry but not soaking wet. the more you apply the more crunch and hold you get.

Hey would you be able to do a wash n go with Treluxe using this combo in this order: Untie the Knot Leave-in + Reflex Serum + Hi Definition Gel? Shlinda1 did one a few years ago and this is something I'd be really interested in seeing.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the only Treluxe product I have on hand is the styling cream. I have tried Treluxe multiple times in multiple ways and I don't care enough for the other products to purchase them again. The only way I would try them again is if they were sent to me in PR or if I needed products and they were on a really good sale. Right now, I have so many products that I just don't need anymore. Sorry. Thanks for tuning in, though.

I have heard of it and I believe I tried it with the Tre'Luxe products. Don't remember if I filmed it or not, but it worked okay. I prefer putting leave-in closer to my strands, though.

Your hair did not come outright. I see 👀 the flakes. I found out when you do not haver any moisture that's when you get flakes.
