A note on the banana peels: I actually use it as "chicken" and it tastes amazing! I believe you jumped one step, and that's what made it taste weird for you (probably). Before marinating the peels, you have to soak them in lemon juice diluted with a bit of water for about 20min to make the bitterness go away. Just then you would marinate it to get some taste in. Try it again some time, I believe it's worth a try! :)

Anything that has weird taste like grapefruit skin you have to make the bad taste go away before attempting to make it edible! Choose the grapefruit with thick skin, peel off the skin a little deeper, make sure all the skin is off, then rub salt or soak it in salty water, squeeze it out a few times, taste it to see if its bland taste, then season it! Hopefully this’ll help Ashley!

If you find yourself craving something that isn't vegan, there are *so* many substitutions that you can have instead. You can do it. 🖤 if you are ever struggling and think that you are going to eat meat, watch the documentary "Earthlings". It broke my heart, I couldn't even make it through more than a minute. 💔 However don't forget that nobody is perfect and if you slip up, don't beat yourself up over it! You are making a difference even if you only eat 1 vegan meal a day. 🖤 Make sure that you take a vitamin B supplement because that is one of the ones that you can't get. There's a Challenge 22 group that helped me so much. They have a 22 day challenge that you can do multiple times and then a graduates group. challenge22.com/
