The pineapple dip uses the hand mixer because it incorporates air thus the whipped texture. The Ninja mixer doesn’t and liquifies the mixture.

I’d be a bit nervous about that just based on the fact that a lot of their “hacks” (even many of the ones that look seemingly harmless) are actually extremely dangerous and can end in serious injury, especially their cooking/baking/kitchen hacks. If you don’t already know about her, I highly recommend checking out Ann Reardon’s channel “How to Cook That” where she demonstrates these “hacks” from five minute crafts in a safe environment and shows what can go wrong/why it’s dangerous.

A better pineapple dip is crushed pineapple mostly drained, instant vanilla pudding, and cool whip. Mix the pudding mix into the pineapple and then mix the cool whip in. I usually use it as a frosting for a mandarin orange cake, and the pineapple juice goes into the cake, but it's great on its own as a dip 💜 I imagine you could also freeze it and run it through a ninja creami to make a delicious dessert.

Rachel, have you ever made the strawberry pretzel dessert? It's got strawberry jello, pretzels, cream cheese and strawberries in it. It's really good. Also back in the 80's we used to make a pineapple cream cheese and green onion spread that you spread onto a slice of ham lunch meat and rolled up and sliced into about 1/2 inch slices and they were served usually at parties, wedding showers and such.

There is this old iced pistachio dessert recipe that my Gran used to make for us. My mom recently started making a gluten free strawberry version of it and it really reminds me of the strawberry dessert you made in the video! The biggest difference is that it's made with strawberry pudding and ice cream rather than the junket. You also make a salty cracker base rather than the lady fingers. It's legit so good. I think you'd really enjoy it and it maybe you could try it out with your celiac family members! (I have Celiac and my mom uses Scharr salted crackers to make the base)

The way you made the junket replacement is interesting. You can buy junket tablets here in Australia and you put them in warm milk and it sets to a panna cotta type of texture. The junket tablets use rennet to curdle the milk. Your very red strawberry sauce was surprising. BTW I have a friend that swears that chewing a junket tablet works for sea sickness.

It honestly doesn’t seem like his taste is impacted very much, because on many occasions he demonstrates that he can taste complex flavor profiles and different subtle notes of flavor (to the same degree and accuracy as Rachel) that someone with significant taste limitations likely wouldn’t pick up on.
