The apple rose tart hack - use the peeler to "slice" the ultimate thinnn slices. And if You leave the peel it's more "rustic". 🔥

As a former Barista, typically for Chai lattes, you want to do a half and half ratio for the Chai concentration and milk. It just makes the flavors better. 😊

This is what I would do in college when I ran out of dining bucks to use at our on campus coffee shop. Stopped making them when I started teaching. It made have to pee, so teaching and Chai lattes don't mix. Now I just do cold brew and cream.

I’m curious. What if you want to brew your own chai? We get loose chai from a favorite tea importer & my spouse loves it brewed & honey added but he also loves his “chai tea” and iced chai from Wawa. Thoughts on brewing the chai at home, using the Apple syrup (which we also have a supplier for) & adding milk since we keep it on hand?

The apples’ rose recipe is something that I’ve seen in Italy for so long but in a different version: instead of sugar and cinnamon you spread apricot jam and before rolling the pastry strip you fold it in half over the apples. Like putting a blanket over it 😂 and then roll it. It’s super good

The Dirty Chai's I have made is usually just a chai latte with an espresso shot. When I worked in a cafe we mixed the powdered chai into the espresso shot and then poured the steamed milk in and served it hot, but you could totally do the chai espresso mix and then pour that over ice and chilled milk in another glass.

Great video! A few suggestions: + Add some grated Parmesan to your pesto. And any nut will work. I made one with garlic scapes and pistachios once. + Use a mandolin to slice your apples. Faster and uniform. + I’m betting the ube extract adds flavor as well as color. Might make the cookies taste less “sugary”. + Pizza cutter for making the dough strips. And I agree with Chris, the puff pastry dough from the freezer is great. I always try to keep it on hand. My favorite thing to whip up with it is sausage rolls. I use Chef John’s recipe on his Food Wishes channel.

There definitely is no dusting with cinnamon and sugar. I have that every time I make cinnamon rolls too. A trick that I love to do when cutting any pie crust or crescent roll dough is to use a pizza cutter. It works great. You just roll, and it cuts perfectly (though still sometimes not straight, especially if you start moving super fast).

Rachel please try Chai the way we have it in India. Believe me it's hard to find a better combo than Chai and cold weather. Here's a quick Chai recipe. Boil 3/4th of cup of water with 2 heaped tablespoons of tea leaves (not the green tea/matcha kind, you should find some good ones at an Asian supermarket). Let that reduce to half, meanwhile crush 1/2 an inch of ginger in a motar pestel and add 2 tbsp water to it and set aside. To the decoction add 3/4 cup of milk and let it boil for 5-7 mins. Now add the ginger with the water to it let it simmer for 10-15 sec and strain the Chai. All of this should be done on a low flame. If you're adding Sugar as your sweetener add it in the first step. If you're using something like the applesyrup maybe add it in the end. Chai is such a soul warming drink and so easy to make. Please give it a try.

I make so many different pinwheels. This is my favorite : *Butter dough with caramelized red onions, leek and bell peppers mixed with cream cheese ,Parmesan and feta cheese. I add onion powder , garlic powder , white pepper . No salt needed because of the feta and Parmesan. The melted cheese pepper and onion mix ,needs to cool completely before spreading it over the dough. Otherwise you have a disaster on your hands 😂😂 But they are soooo good ,both warm and cold for packed lunches and Picknicks! I really hope you’ll try this recipe ❤
