Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! I wanted to try this challenge of packing a capsule wardrobe and limiting my outfits for a month to only what I packed. What do you guys think of the challenge and what were your favorite looks? Don't forget to follow me on instagram.com/marcelfloruss for more style inspo :)

To be honest, I think 28 peaces for one entire season would still be on the site of excess. You don't need 5 different overcoats for one season. Maybe keep it at two. You won't be able to afford 5 good quality ones anyways. But I understand that for someone in the fashion industry quantity can get out of hand quite quickly.

A lot of my favorites revolved around the Doc Martens at the base. I also feel that when you limit yourself to so many pieces it forces you to become more creative. When you blend street wear and more ~ dapper ~ looks, you’re forced to think outside the box a little, particularly when you’re limited to how many pieces you can use. Love all of the looks. Excellent inspiration. Great video again :)
@UserLev4 жыл бұрын
Also, can you link and/or give a name for those Doc’s if possible? I really.... sort of... fell in love... with them

Good thing to be a minimalist on a smart casual side. It's easy to dress everything up or down if needed by some essential pieces. By swapping some pieces you get almost everything you need for the whole season and you just change your rack 3-4 times a year. This kind of limitation truly helps in buying and matching clothes that are versatile and pretty much timeless. Also, there's more playing with style with less pieces
@30m34 жыл бұрын
You should military roll your clothes, especially tshirts and underwear. It saves so much space when packing.

I think you did really well. The black/dark base seemed to really work for most of the looks; especially with the Dr. Marten’s and Ankari Floruss boots. You exposed the versatility of the pieces for sure.

I can pack for 14 days in a carry on ( I wear the bulkiest pieces on the plane ) I check a large empty suitcase to hold all the new purchases and hold the larger grooming products . If my suitcase gets lost I'm not screwed . I am less worried about lost luggage enroute home . I remember being plus sized in China ( 32,Waist , medium top ) " too big " shopkeepers would shoo me away

Nice try to do a capsule wardrobe. Its acually my 2020 resolution to trim my own wardrobe and keep less but interchangeble pieces. I found it quite hard to clean it and throw things out and I admit I still do repeate rookie mistake of buying expensive piece and then leaving it on the hanger for 'special' occasions. Hopefully I will turn that thinking around next year and I will consider especially cost to wear ratio when buying new stuff. Btw Happy New Year Marcel!
