I've tried Pete's twice on two different occasions and would be hard-pressed to even give them a five. After waiting in line for 45 minutes for this "famous" burger, I was served a sloppy mess on a soggy bun. Everything was great except the beef patty itself. The bun was nice and fresh, the onions were very good, but they slopped on so much liquid with the patty, the bun turned into a messy piece of wet bread. The process look tasty, snd the long lines fooled me twice into going there. The burgers are essentially boiled and lack flavor. A dash of salt would really improve them. I bought four of them, I ate two, my daughter ate one, and the last one got thrown in the nearest garbage. There's a bar or two on the same street that we'll try next time we're in the area!

One of my workers was related to that family, John Raess, he used to travel up there every year or so for the festival.

Its one of those local things where if you grew up on it nothing else will do. Theres a certain fish sandwich place where i live called Colemans and it is amazing to me but ive had out of town people tell me its mid at best. Lots of towns have these type of places where it just tastes like home.

Brandon Eats : Food Adventures goto lancaster,wi zippy`s brass rail,they make the best burgers in lancaster..a zippy burger choice of 1/4 or the big one 3/4 pound ,bartender says sometimes there close to a pound,the buns dwarf over the burgers and there buns are big,there slogan is.."you havent had a burger yet until you had a zippy burger"

the ones we got were a meatball size burger and 2 strands of onions all the same on 4 burgers and over $6 a peace...never again stopping there...that was in june 24...no taste very bland....
