Tbh I could well imagine that the average person employing an "expert" stylist to make their wardrobe doesn't mind expensive pants. But the whole idea of Stitch fix is weird to me. I could understand videocalling a stylist to help you make your style more coherent or find pieces that fit your taste or physique better than what you could find at wherever you've been shopping so far, but getting these semi-random and frankly rather generic clothing pieces sent to you, picked by a stylist who jever even saw a photo of you, that's just weird! There's no personality to it at all! I'm by no means into fashion (and certainly not into mainstream fashion), but I've seen videos if several different KZbinrs with very different personalities testing/advertising stitch fix and literally EVERYTHING I've seen looked boring and not like their personal style to me (sometimes like they've been put in a costume), even though most of them claimed they loved the style or at leadt some pieces. Idk, I find the whole concept of having someone else select your clothes for you weird. Whether you like it (and realize it), or not, your clothing style says quite a bit about you: - Do you care about fashion (and your appearance in general)? - Do you prefer looks, comfort, or practicality? (-> are you more pragmatic or aesthetic minded? Do you do handywork or rugged outdoor activities? Are you an outdoor or indoor person?) - What kind of colors do you like (bright, dark, bold, soft, colorful or neutral tones)? This can give a hint about whether you're outgoing and into party/action, or like calm activities - Do you like to stand out or blend in with the crowd? (-> extrovert/introvert) - Do your clothes promote interests/messages that are important to you? (Eg. Political messages and symbols, religious symbols, LGBTQ* colors, pictures/character from popular media) Tge clothes you select can say so much about you, even if you just buy five examples of the first trouser/shirt/etc. That feels comfortable and good quality:performance to you. So what does having someone else select your clothes suggest about your personality? That you have none of your own? That you're trying to look like someone you're not? 🥶

@LRM12o8 mall boutique? what on earth is that? Express? H&M? Before you bag on those with more money, think about stitch count, denim layers, riveting, long strand cottons.... I could go on. The difference between those with more money is that they have more than money. They have intelligence. They value purchasing something that is built to last. You buy cheap, you buy twice are wise words to live by. You don't become "rich" by making poor purchasing decisions. You become *wealthy* by making investments in products that have higher initial costs and almost no long-term costs. That logic extends to material purchases as well as portfolio investments. To have the narrow-minded, poorly thought out purchasing knowledge and foresight might be the dumbest logic I've ever encountered. Sadly, that logic is far too common in groups of people who open their mouths without knowledge of the subject and its nuances. So yes, it might be out of your price range or your limited patience with clothes shopping process in general- but the smarter financial decision in this situation would be to hold off on purchasing the expensive clothing items until you have saved up the correct funds to make the purchase. If that necessitates you buy one or two cheaper pairs to make do while you save, so be it. That's the nuances of purchasing something. Please use your money more wisely and you may not have such a contemptuous view of quality merchandise. (Disclaimer: Luxury brands such as Gucci, LV, Prada...etc are NOT clothing items that wealthy people would prioritize...ever. I am talking about brands that are in the higher quality market but don't rely on their brand name or logos to sell their products. True quality doesn't need to advertise, it sells itself.)

He didn't talk about Manscapped spamming you with emails every two days or that the subscription regularity can be increased or decreased from ever 1 month to every 12 months but there is no cancel option, you actually have to email them of cancel the payment via your bank. In the UK the 3 monthly payment taken is also £33 so that's more for the sub than all the items in the Ultimate pack. realistically those scent pods at 1.3 galloons would only last maybe 2 days (since the average healthy intake of water for a person is 1 gallon per day), but since they're a scent pod and not flavor one they probably last longer as the smell lessens over time as the scent evaporates.

I tried air up and idk if I'm dumb or not but it absolutely did not work. It just tasted like water
@pvshka3 ай бұрын
That gallon of liquid intake also includes the water you'd intake through food, so you absolutely shouldn't be drinking a gallon of water a day, unless you're working something incredibly physically intensive or in a very hot climate.

The recommended healthy intake for water is 6-8 cups a day. A gallon is 16 cups.

@@keithwoodcrest idk where you got that info from but it's wrong. Every health related website with a simple google search says: it's 15.5cups (basically a gallon) for men and like 11.5 (close to 3L) for female for healthy intake of water. 6-8 cups is closer to the absolute bare minimum intake just to survive, which really isn't healthy intake since you're gonna feel like shit if you don't drink more.

the issue with airup is that the effects of the taste from the scent pods is very subjective for many reasons. i tried it, and some of the flavors tasted like vomit. other people have tried it and they swear by it. even if i did like it, i cant get behind it because of how wasteful it is. you are buying a reusable bottle with not-so-reusable pods. you have to purchase more and create more waste if you want the bottle to work as intended. and for that reason, i will never own one myself. just drink water.

Stitch Fix is nice because it is putting you in nicer brands than you would normally buy. I had a friend that worked for them and loved it. The problem is that the average person isn't used to paying for that quality of clothes, aka $119 for a pair of pants. That is what you are going to pay for above average clothing. Think how Buckle has most of their jeans well over $100, they are a higher quality than the cheaper brands.

The other nice part is you don't have to keep any of the clothes, just send them back. Then you can look for similar styles when you are shopping next and still not have to pay out a ton.
