It's actually pretty normal. In Brazil (more specifically São Paulo), it's common to eat hotdogs that have stuff like: Lettuce, shoestring potatoes, mashed potatoes, catupiry, ketchup, mustard, mayo, bbq sauce, cheese (of the most various kinds), ham, tomatoes, chicken strings, meat pieces, bell pepper etc... and ofc, the sausage. We just basically go crazy with it, and it's delicious.
