It’s day 18. I’m speedrunning all the way to 2000 ELO and I need to accomplish it by New Year (2024!).
RULE 1: Only Rapid Games.
RULE 2: I have to explain every single move I play.
RULE 3: If I lose a game, there will be a punishment for the next game.

Control of centre with that dangerous knight was enough to keep you in the game down a knight. There is no doubt a WFM with great blitz skills is going to walk all over these 17/18 100’s. However some of these 1800’s play (example first game) almost disrespect chess completely ignoring the basic principles of chess. I feel like a fide 1200 know more opening theory than an online 1800. They just play fast hoping the opponent never find good moves in these short time formats. It probably work against average players.

i get what you’re saying for sure, it must be frustrating watching her so easily obliterate people at your rating range that you’re struggling to even maintain, making it look like an absolute cakewalk, but you also have to keep in mind that she’s been studying and playing chess competitively from a very young age as well
