I am the widow and sister of Navy veterans who served in Viet Nam, and my father was an Air Force veteran from WWII. My brother in law fought in Korea and was shot on the beach and paralyzed from the waist down and received a purple heart as well. I believe that every single man in this country who is a citizen should serve our nation. Your story about graduating early reminded me that my brother actually quit high school two months before graduation ...... as soon as he turned 18 in February of 64. God bless all of you who served and/or are currently serving. You're all heroes to me. We were in OC a lifetime ago for the Corvette show (back when it was at Northside Park and the Convention Center) and they had tidal flooding then . Some of those idiots in their Vettes just tried to drive through it. Didn't turn out well. Wondering what your opinion is about Cruisin being moved to the 1st of May next year? It's only 10 days earlier, but you should hear them crying about it! lol Didn't mean to run on. Anyhow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! On to 41!! Oh, and the lobster ravioli at Harrison's is soooooooooo good!

Hey Jay, just got back home to Pa., had a great week in OC. Me & my wife went surf fishing on Tuesday, surf was way to ruff! But my wife hooked a big blue fish, came out of water & cut the line. Next day we fished 9th st pier all day, caught sea robins, spot & pig fish, great time! Plus my wife saw your reeljay sticker on pier! Jay, Happy Birthday! I was down on the weekend of the medical waste beach closures. Stayed at the Oceanic, fished the pier and inlet at the hotel, only caught a cople of small Black Sea bass. Surf conditions were horrendoues on Assateague so no surf activity that weekend. Hoping to get back down before winter.

Do not drive through salt water if your not going to rinse the underside of your vehicle. I learned the hard way in OC when my brakes failed due to rusted lines.

Thanks Jimmy! I haven't been yet, the hardest part is trying to find time to go there. I think once we get older we'll join so Ashley and I can go. Year round is great, we love it. The winter is very peaceful and a nice break from the crowds. But there are also a lot who leave to go south for the winter and I can't blame them for that either. Some like it and some don't.

Hello J. I’m heartbroken. My fiancée Billy passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning. He fought cancer for 7 years. We reunited after almost 50 years in August of 2019. He was my first boyfriend in life. He told me then that we came back together, full circle. I thank God for the wonderful times we shared. 😢😢😢He is resting now🙏🏾
