funny how when it starts to "work" after the shot is cut and he reappears with a magical device that seems to be churning water out from the depths using nothing but magical power, the long blue pipe all of a sudden is bending when he tries to move the assembly... bending as if there is a pump connected to it.

right, I think this is intended to LOOK like a hydrolic ram pump, but it isn't one as far as I can tell. the air reseviours are in the wrong place for one, and for another you need fast running water to get a hydrolic ram pump to work as the running water provides the energy for the system.

Sorry, but water will never flow uphill without an energy source. Note that as soon as the pressure equalizes in the bottles he must refill them. There is, however, a pump that will pump water without electricity or any external power source. It is called a "trompe ram" and uses the pressure from flowing water downhill to operate. Old technology but still very usable.
@heathb4319
@heathb4319 Жыл бұрын
i think we call them ram pumps....had one on the family farm that was 70 years old and has never stopped working and never needed to be serviced. uses water flow to compress air in a cylinder then the air pushes back and a valve flips to push the water up hill. You only get about 10-15% of the flow through the pipe but on the farm that was enough to power the shed and barn and water the upper field. slow and steady for decades.

heh, sadly water does not flow that way and there is no free energy. You could probably make an inefficent pump that pulls up water by shakeing the pipe but as soon as you stop the flow will as well once the water you primed the system with runs out. By the way you need to make your jump cuts smoother, it was a bit too blatent around the times you hooked up the submersable pump.

@@toordog1753 um, yes there is. its called physics. energy cant be created or destroyed, it can only be moved around from one form to another. there are pumps that run without electricity, but this isn't one of them. look up a hydrolic ram pump. that pulls energy from a fast flowing stream to pump a small amount of water in pulses. this isn't a hydrolic ram pump, though it is clearly intended to LOOK like one. this is a fake. he's running an electric pump where you cant see it. if it were a real hydrolic ram pump the output would be much smaller than the input, and there would be a spill valve dumping water to the side, plus the pumped water would be in pulses.

Maybe use the current flow of the river/creek to induce positive pressure through the entrance of a pipe (think fish trap using soda bottle) then route the pipe into a bed for your garden, it works better with a higher elevation starting point so there is a slight advantage by gradient.
@Impasse413
@Impasse413 Жыл бұрын
Allow me to clarify: it doesn't "generate" perpetual motion, it just takes kinetic flow, reroutes it, convents some into potential energy, with gravity leveling the water (downslope). From there digout or place a tank (or other container) to fill up (from the top) have the nozzle on the bottom, leading again downwards through a smaller pipe (to create a differential pressure flow), to your garden. Simple physics.

Any video editing software will work. All you need to do is cut the scenes where you're connecting the pump.

How stupid you have to be to believe in this project. This is a big BS and people should be removed from this channel. Why KZbin does not do anything about this and rather supporting hoax.

Look, every time the "pump" works, there is a change of video shot. Does it pay off well the advertising?

You have obviously never used a third world shower with a 220v shower head to heat the water. 😳

Or just use a hydraulic ram pump, as farmers have been doing for centuries.

But as soon as the pressure from the bottles equalizes you have to pump water from the stream again. Instead can we use a bellows or similar to suck water from the stream?

Yes it is called a pump.
@sreenathc
@sreenathc Жыл бұрын
@@KevinSmith-os5yz So you use a pump to pull water in, build air pressure and let the air pressure pump water upwards? Accounting for loss of energy in this process, loss of waste water from the ram pump outlet, better would be to pump straight up from the still water source. It’s an interesting experiment but not very useful. Instead use an Archimedean Screw possibly?

@@sreenathc anything requires energy to raise the water up against gravity. Cheapest would be a solar panel and small pump. That's what I use on my pond to run the water up to a sediment filter. But the pump usually only last about a year before needing to be replaced, the panel is well over ten years old. So cheap in the long run:)
