The one thing I love about working with quilted material is that you can use bias tape instead of surging as an option, and it can also add so much personality to your piece as well!

I tried that on my own quilted jacket a while ago and the tape always sat kind of wrinkly and messy. I think my jacket must have been to thick or something. Glad it worked out for you! 💜

Very clever Jenna! A smart pattern I’d be happy to try,but a little more fitted - just my personal preference. With that beautiful star quilt I would have liked to see you match the fronts and backs, maybe centering the star at the back. Not a criticism as I do love what you have done ❤

For anyone who wants a really nice finished seam without a serger/overlocker you may want to look up French seam tutorials! They end up beautiful but can be more work but the result is awesome, way nicer than a plain zig zag

That urinating that your dog is a sign of dominance and ownership. He is letting people and other animals know that is is mines. The coat turned out great! Great colors! Would've love to see the coat be more considered of the original pattern of the quilt, feels like that could've been what took it to a whole new level. Another thing is the sleeves, I think the armhole in the pattern is to low, too much of a batwing going on. But a more streamlined look it my personal preference anyways.
