Only problem older cars like our 335i have is 4 problems. Cooling, oil leaks in the turbos, misfires, and transmission malfunctions. For cooling I’d upgrade the radiator to a Csf with a 5inch intercooler cuz I’m not singling it and it’s doing pretty well in the canyons at night so with the temperature. One big thing to upgrade is the oil cooler for a bigger one because when you’re stage 1+ it’s harder for the little cooler to keep up with so much heat, it’ll help keep your engine running a lot longer an prevent more wear on the engine. Also, Oil leaks are pretty common on the 335i whether it’s the turbos or from an oil line, having two oil catch cans will prevent a lot of oil getting into your turbo seals because pretty much every e92 335i with stock seals leak. Another thing is switching out the engine timing seals bc those get pretty shot too and cause a lot of oil coming out from the rear exhaust, just like a bad taco Tuesday. Misfires also happens a lot when you floor it look into another brand of spark plugs and if you’re going single turbo I suggest building the motor up with a b58 coil swap, I think Coloradon5x has something like that on their website. Furthermore, an aluminum intake manifold with help with single turbo cooling more, so you don’t have to worry about the infamous hot air intakes lol. Finally a transmission tune, firstly if your engine is experiencing transmission malfunctions you don’t have to swap it out for a newer one unless something is beat up pretty badly. Most of the time the problem with the gears is that it’s a pretty cheap fix, con it’s decent amount of work. What it comes down to is a couple of rub seals inside the transmission and some connectors that need to be replaced. If you’re considering doing a trans tune first do this and your gear changes will be like brand new, then get a tune so it can keep up with the power 💪🏽✌🏽

sounds like you may have a small leak in the inercooler piping, thats why it sounds like the stu tu tu which is nice but once you tackle the small leak it will boost alot nicer

I let go of my E93 335i 2 years ago. FBO...MHD stage 2+...total sleeper other then the yellow calipers (loved how it hit against the space gray). Im a torque fanatic and the N54 is a torque lovers DREAM! I miss everything except maintaining it. Your gonna love it!

I know a top mount might look better but go with a bottom mount single turbo. The heat and spooling is much better. Also no heat on the valve cover.

@@kelvinyoung2161 just not attainable without internal modifications and a lot of them. 600hp is about the max you’ll be able to reliably push on stock internals and the junky auto trans they come with. Recommend he dumps it for a manual trans and throws about 5k at the internals then you can go for maybe around 700-750 tops before you just blow tons of money into the build. I’ve got a buddy who has about 5 or so 335i’s and works for an M Sport performance shop. You go past 600hp without building the inside and then you’re blowing the engine.

@@jamalove2002 it depends if ur N54/N55 is up to date on maintenance with no issues you always wanna make sure your car is running correctly before you add power and if your talking just power mods I would say between $3k-$5k. My set up is probably on the higher side I didn’t skip out on anything. VRSF 5” intercooler, boost pipe, intake inlet, upper and lower charge pipe - $700 VRSF down pipe - $400 Injen intake - $500 CSF aluminum radiator - $500 Mishimoto catch can - $200 PRW ignition kit - $500 NGK spark plugs - $100 MHD tuning - $400 XHP trans tuning - $300 BMS sport thermostat kit - $100 These are rough numbers on what I paid for my power upgrades not counting any visual mods witch I spent easily about $3k-$4k.

the white trim pieces on the roof. You should wrap them with the same carbon fiber wrap so the entire roof looks carbon fiber. Maybe it’s just my OCD but the white trim pieces look so irritating to me, it unnecessarily breaks the consistency. Overall beautiful car, good stuff.
