Looks like it’s connected to the turret being destroyed while a shot is in progress, at least from my testing with the casters. Haven’t tried on the melee or the cannon minions tho.

Have you ever tried or heard about tankmo + adc with movement in 2s? Just someone who can stay away from the enemy a fair bit and kill them. Your peel is gonna be ass, but you can get your q cd down super super low. Body block + blind + not dying is probably pretty solid. And your peel. You have the best peel. Global taunt.
