I turned this horrible house into a tiny dream home!

We are back and renovating poor Johnny Zest's sad house into a lovely tiny home! Wishing you a very Happy New Year! Ps sorry about the game volume - I made some PC changes and my voice and game audio recorded on the same track :( It will be fixed next vid xx

I think if you click that yellow line above the rooms you can click “add ceiling” and it will also fix the holes you had and doesn’t count as tile! Regardless this build is BEAUTIFUL and I’m glad you have a happy space to have some fun during your grief

it's true, that such a good advice! sometimes I feel the option doesn't show up when I click, but it usually does and I can add the ceilings. that also fixes lighting issues ! I had a build I was getting so frustrated with because one entire room had black looking furniture because the lighting was broken and I couldn't make the room be lighter no matter how many lights I added. turns out there was just a tiny bit of ceiling missing (I used a platform on the entrance part of the room) that you couldn't see from the top because there was a roof over it and everything seemed to be normal.

allow yourself to feel all the pain, don't push it away just so you can smile! my grandma also passed away in december and it was horrible. I had a really bad month but I'm not beating myself up about it - she was the most important person in my life when I grew up and it's always better to process my emotions properly than to ignore them in order to get past the debilitating sadness. - my condolences to you ❤

I love the "gravel" bathroom flooring! My parents lived in an apartment that previous owners had remodeled quite modern, and while my traditional parents didn't appreciate the lime green kitchen counter or artsy hand statues sticking out of the walls, they came around on the bumpy shower flooring. It's very smooth and nice on your bare feet.

I love the curtains into the bedroom! I think if they're over an archway the sim can walk through them. The style and decor are beautiful. I'm going to have to take inspiration from you. I've renovated the trailer in the past but I left it a trailer for authenticity. Never thought to make it into a real home. Very cool! There's plenty of tiny homes and regular homes that use gravel in their bathrooms. Some people use gravel and then just fill it in with grout, some people use gravel and then fill it in with like a clear grout and level the whole floor. It depends if you want to feel the different bumps under your feet or if you want a solid ground. I love the gravel look in the bathroom You should have kept it

1st, my condolences and love go out to you during this time. 2nd Have you thought about doing a tribute build to your grandparents? - Like recreate their home that you loved/remember the most? Even if it doesn't go on KZbin, it may help you with the grieving process. (When my grandma died in 2019 I recreated her house and showed my dad. It was nice to be able to talk about her and share our memories of their house.) 3rd. As for Johnny Zest and this build, I always thought that when his parents- The Landgrabbs kicked him out/disowned him that the Goth family and others kind of donated to him things they no longer wanted/needed. Which explains the candelabra and the really expensive bar stools. :)

While I know hoping for the healing process to go easier and quicker may not be quite right because it takes a long time and it never quite feels done, I hope you had some extra time to spend with friends and family and share positive memories if that works for you, as I know that’s something that really helped me. My condolences for your loss. This lot has a trailer home, or caravan, if you prefer. But the lot is huge. I always play this lot with the assumption that the goal is to build a large house as you earn money and live in the trailer until the large house is ready to be moved into. hi deli, i loved the creative route you went for the roofline but still wanted to remind you that if you click on the rooms then click "make ceiling" they wont count as floor tiles for the tiny home tile count. the only downside of them in comparison to floor tiles as ceilings is that you cant place roof trim around them and you cant raise them up like platforms. also my condolences to you and your family

I did a scenario with Johnny a bit ago and redid his house then. I killed all the sims in the world except him and seven children (six kids + Evie Delgato). He had to get a job and earn to take care of the kids. Eventually they ended up having little cabins on the lot and his trailer was kept in the same shape and approximate room cuttings, but way updated to accommodate eight sims in the kitchen and living area, with big windows and such. Actually kind of a similar color palette to what you landed on.

I like how everyone see this as a house and I always thought it was a van, or caravan, or a trailer or the right English word for it 😅 I love playing in it for some reason, and I have a own storyline based on this lot! You did such a nice job with this!! I have an idea for a dream home series. You could ask three friends of yours (other simmers) or three viewers to describe in 100 words or less their dream home. Then you try to build it! The three dream home builds could be a part of a 3-part series, and the houses could all be in the same neighborhood if that works out based on the styles of builds.

Yeah, Johnny zest does deserve a better house. The first thing I always do when I start a new save file is add Johnny back into the land grabs family tree as his parents. For some reason, I always see Johnny as a disowned son.
