As a NW local, I recommend ferns and rocks everywhere for the understory around the world. not big rocks, but small ones. and pepper in some debug mushrooms to really make it come alive. also stumps and fallen logs from the wearwolves debug items. basically all wearwolves debug will be your friend 😆 have fun, and I'm excited to see my corner of the world come to life

​@wolfxdreamer6860 i second that about the landscaping, for most places it looks like the forest was cut away just enough to make space for the houses. When i lived there there were several houses on our street that were odd colors and very bright. That was in Everett washington

​@@wolfxdreamer6860 one other thing that may really help as you fill the world is the creat a few rooms with the landscaping objects clustered how youd like. Then you can repeat those throughout, rotating them so they look a little different. It will really help to fill the spaces further to the edge of the map and you wont have to find the objects everytime and individually place them.

While I don’t live in America, I do live in a place surrounded by trees. They generally are pretty close together so there’s only about a two or one person gap in between the trunks. The ground is then filled with twigs, bushes, rocks, and unkept grass. I myself have been doing a save based on Australia where I live with Strangerville and Chestnut Ridge as the main worlds.

just found your channel, and i'm really loving these builds!! as a person from the PNW myself, i really hope you include some of the area's unique indigenous history - a lot of indigenous groups in washington (the suquamish for example) have very unique stories compared to the stereotypical story of native americans in the US, and are incredibly vibrant & thriving communities still!

I absolutely love how it’s looking! I didn’t know until recently that Willow Creek was based on New Orleans (cause nothing about it reminds me of New Orleans…I mean, it snows in Willow Creek.) As a former Bay Area resident who loved going up the coast in NorCal, I’m so excited about this! I love the look of a woodsy setting (like the island in Windenburg or Granite Falls (why won’t they let us live there full time?) and as someone who can’t build to save my life, I’m so grateful for people like you who share your ideas and creativity with the whole community!

@@wolfxdreamer6860 I’m surprised someone hasn’t made a mod for that (maybe someone has, idk?) The world so far reminds me of the smaller towns going up into the Sierras on the way to Tahoe (from Sacramento,) when you’re around the 2500-3500 ft level, with the snow capped mountains in the distance. Also reminds me of Trinidad, CA, a town on the ocean near the Redwood National Forest. Absolutely beautiful there with the redwoods, the cedar smell, the grey rocks, everything so green it’s amazing. Basically, it looks like where the Ewoks live (which makes sense, since they filmed Ewok world in the Redwoods in Marin, I think. Great town for some cute little Easter egg items like bright red mushrooms, fireflies, gnomes being in funny, unexpected places…sigh. I miss it there!

We have three worlds that (supposedly) follow the New Orleans theme; Willow Creek, Newcrest and Magnolia Promenade. I know some people are unhappy with American worlds but so much of the USA is still under-represented; especially the PNW and the Midwest. The few worlds that touch upon the PNW are either vacation restricted or tiny Stuff like this really fills the gap for me. This world looks gorgeous and so moody and homey.

I am super close to falling into a rabbithole about usa geographic areas and their architecture, history, culture and differeces. Like how do things look like in New England compared to pnw or some area in midwest like great lakes or like the really deserty area with Arizona and New Mexico. I'm lowkey having crisis about finding all of this interesting after completely bashing on usa cities for their bad design (car centricity, suburbia, lack of public infrastructure)

PNW vibes have always been my favorite, it just speaks to my soul lol I will definitely not be restricting packs! But omg it takes patience to put trees and all details all around the world. At least it gave me a new objective while playing sims and the world feels more like my own save. Love what you are doing here. As far as making the background look less uniform, are there stump assets? It would make sense that the trees are spread out a bit if it looks like the area has been logged some time in the past; a stump here or there and some brush clustered around - especially near water - would keep it looking more natural. Then have a few areas where the trees are dense to show that logging hasn't occurred in that area.

Love this! If you want to use TOOL in build mode I figured out a way to roam around freely from the lot. Simply got into the Camera.ini file in the games bin/res folder, use control f and type in lotradiusmultiplier. There should be 2, one under simple (sims 4 camera) and another under advanced (sims 3 camera). Change this value to a larger number, and you can move around the lot freely. I personally set it any number from 6-10. Hope this helps.

2:20 First I’m so sad the lots can’t be used like ugh SIMS TEAM PLEASE MORE LOTS Second as a suggestion but maybe use debug fences around the umsäble house lots? :) And if you haven’t already maybe do a camping area (also little campers kit does have the outdoor theatre too) And picnic tables? Perhaps in the woods in the background you could add a trailer like it’s for camping, though only if it looks good haha.

Very cool! This is what I am missing most, a create a world tool! I assume you used mostly the Tool mod? But how did you get the fully blank map of Willow Creek? I have been trying to turn the world that came with Get to Work into NOLA French Qtr just using Tool but even that I am slow going on, so this I know must be a lot of work! Am excited to follow along with your progress. I wish we were able to have multiple versions of worlds in the same save like Willow Creek 1, 2, 3. Sulani 1, 2, 3... Maybe one day a modder will come along with something like this. I know the Tool modder was working on a version of create a world as well.

I’m also missing a create a world feature! Twisted mexi was doing CAW but I think it’s down at the moment cause the for rent updated messed it all up and they still haven’t been able to fix it! EA def dropped the ball by taking away CAW. But yes simventure is correct, newcrest and willow creek emptied by awingedllama to remove everything 🫶🏻
