i’m a girl who hates texting all day LOL i am busy on the weekdays and even when i do have a couple minutes on my phone, i am usually not in the mood to text. i do want to talk to my partner and hear about his day but not until i’m all done - it can even be a phone call when i’m driving home. i know maru says her expectation comes from her past experiences with dudes but i think it’s unfair to expect a guy to check in with you every hour or so when he has his own schedule too? even if he has 20 seconds to spare, he might not be tired or not in the mood lol

I just wanna say ab the girls being nonchalant they are out there, my ex was a very busy person during the time period we were dating his day started at 6am and really ended at 6-7pm and as time progressed i learned to adapt to it i just told him to text me when he was free and i just learned to do my own thing and know that he’s busy, overtime that feeling of needing to know what they’re doing went away and to this day i am still like that, if i am curious ab what ur doing i will text u even if ur busy but i don’t expect a response back until you aren’t.

I used to be that way. I HATED when people wouldn't text me every day. The way people communicate is differently, I totally agree with you when you're saying to let people have their space. If you text me and you expect me to reply back just for an update, my reaction is gonna be I'll get back to you when I get to you. Plain simple. I don't answer unless I absolutely have to. That's a little too much asking for frequent updates especially if you have a really packed schedule. Some jobs wouldn't even allow you to carry your phone or any electronic device on your person. I work for transportation, I have to lock up my phone and my Apple watch before clocking in. Like I said, there's no need for frequent updates. If I tell you my schedule and your still asking for the updates, I wouldn't even reply.

Especially if she said she wasn’t expecting a text back. Sometimes you just get really excited and want to message somebody something (and hopefully they respond when they can). Maybe that’s when she’s free or can make time, too. That being said, I wouldn’t want a guy to text me too much, and I definitely wouldn’t want him to be beholden to it.
