Honestly, I like the ideas they’re throwing out there with the new structure to DD. But I have a full time job, I don’t have time to grind out like this. I’ve been on vacation this week so I’ve been grinding all week when I can and I got the first pack last night. I took David Wright. But they gotta realize that not everyone is a content creator that does this full time. At this rate you basically have to do whatever you do during the day, school or work, then grind all night to get this stuff done. I feel like they over corrected from the complaints about not having enough content last year. They gotta find that sweet spot, whatever that is. And take the no sell off the cards we grind for in RS and BR.

@@alex47927 I agree as well, I feel as though I can’t play online bc I don’t have a good enough team bc I didn’t grind a program. But also I’ve never had a better team bc of how the game I set up. They just need to find that sweet spot.

I honestly believe that the way the content is being released and how dd is working this year is not great. As a big mlb the show fan and baseball fan, there just is something off with this game. There is simply no motivation to grind. Before this year, there was always “the best cards” and we would all try to grind for them and until November, it wasn’t completely common to see full god squads. People used to have parallel five cards all the time because they felt the time and commitment it takes to make your favorite cards even better. This year however, your ability to use that card will be gone in just two months. Playing this game feels more pointless since there is no card progression and we will all just have 99 overalls from day one to the release of mlb the show 24. I give credit to SDS for trying to change the style of the mode, but it honestly just takes the fun out of it. Maybe it’s just me, but I do think it’s important to make this known.

sorry but this is just wrong, there was no reason to grind before knowing that two weeks later there will be a program with better overall cards, now you can grind for a card you want and it’ll be usable to 100 days

As a casual player who only gets a couple of hours a week to play, I hate grinding and playing the CPU. I like having high diamond, competitive cards that I can jump into ranked with. Playing against the CPU is the worst, most unsatisfactory aspect of MLB the Show.

I think I speak for majority of people (I hope) when I say I feel like the set collections rewards are a little too grindy for the average person, especially when the rewards are only eligible for two seasons. I work a 9-5 and have responsibilities so I don't have the luxury of playing the game as much as content creators or kids who are maybe in school and don't have jobs. Nothing against those people, more power to them but for someone in my situation it's a little much despite the game being fun to play. Give me your thoughts koogs if you see this.

So I’m in high school and I still feel overwhelmed with the amount of content and grinding. We don’t even have that much time unless you just go home and sit around for 6 hours. Even with summer I’m still busy. But it is still fun to play with good cards for a chance. I used to even play with golds on my final god squad😂. But I think not being able to use most of these cards for the rest of the year makes this game not fun. There’s no point of grinding for a player you can only use for two months🤷🏾‍♂️

I've said this since the beginning of the year but I think they only released 99's on day 1 because of the WBC and then they made sets out of that and I think thats what is causing the boredom everyone had good teams from the start instead of the gradual climb to a God Squad set 3 might chance that with all the boredom but it will be interesting to see where this goes

Just got Big Papi yesterday & like you, first pitch crushed a bomb! This games actually fun grinding regardless if you play ranked or the CPU. It's a game I feel that in awhile you can grind with friends separately and still have a good time in discord/party

So far I dig the DD content format I’d just make a couple tweaks. Mini Seasons is too time consuming maybe cut it down to 20 games idk. I’m NMS so I haven’t bought a single pack all year so but I still ended up with two of the three set 1 collection rewards. That seems about right to me you should have to spend stubs to get all three but I was focused on completing the live series collection. Now that that’s done maybe I’ll go back and try to finish that but since set one cards won’t be useable soon I think I’m gonna focus on core cards. I think they should have mini collections for XP progress or something too like in years past. Like collect 10 Kaiju cards for 10,000 XP or whatever. This year (so far anyway) it’s like the card series only matters for event lineups or specific programs.

I was having lots of fun the first two-three weeks of the game but I work 60 hours per week and play baseball on the weekends and don’t want to have to do all offline grinding for good cards when I only have a few hours per week to play. Ranked Seasons and BR seem almost useless unless you go 12-0 or make World Series. They should do TA boosts if you use MLB stadiums, win a certain amount of games etc so online grinding goes towards it as well

I dont mind grinding, I like it too, but have found myself playing more offline than online - and I don't think some of the online rewards are as worth it as in years past. I know some people don't play online so they have to cater to both sides. But just feels annoying rinsing and repeating with captain stat missions - don't mind PxP as much but relievers need to be down from 500 & more options to progress TA

I haven’t minded the grind but the way they introduced the sets and the TA grind , if they added xp for a wildcard , example like a card ur trying to super factor, whatever xp u get from using that card should be able to go towards the programs. So if ur using trout u will get wildcard xp for the East and central TA . Just an idea

Just an opinion but i think the reason why people are bored with it is because beginning of the year you already have a team of 97 to 99 overall cards so yeah you can grind for more cards but are they that Much of an upgrade last year and before going from a 89 diamond to a 99 was a huge upgrade to now where you might replace a 97 for a 99 it ain’t a major difference that’s just how I feel at least

Show21 had the perfect amount of grind to get good cards. This year its absolutely ridiculous. Affinity takes forever. And you essentially have to get every affinity card to get a chance at set collections and SDS has always made the # requirement for collection cards stupidly High. If you have any kinds of full time job and like to play more than 1 game. You have zero chance at collections unless youre spending a ton of money for no reason. Grinding should be done weekly, not monthly...i can understand a grind taking tens of hours not 100hours. And a majority of the show players are in the same boat.

If not that's completely unfair and makes the game useless and the drive to play non-existent.
