their actually is a MUCH simpler method of automating certus quartz crystals. you will need annihilation planes, a export bus, and a storage drawer or single item storage unit. for this to work tho, you MUST keep this network entirely separate from the rest of your ME network. annihilation planes do not have a filter, but when connected to a network with a single item in it, they will ONLY break that item. so setup planes to destroy the crystal, connect them with cables to a ME export bus to the storage, that can ONLY hold certus quartz. the planes will then only break the crystal when it is fully grown, and the setup footprint is MUCH smaller. you can then use a separately connect storage bus connected to your main ME system to just look and see what is stored in the drawer

you can make facades. These will hide cables and fill in the rest of the blocks (only one face) on things like terminals, interfaces, pattern providers and more devices that are not considered "full blocks" like chargers, inscribers and the block varients fo the pattern providers and interfaces. This prevents the items getting stuck on the first version of the fluix creation machine you made. another neat thing you can do with things like bussen and no-fullblock interfaces and pattern providers is that you can fit a total of 5 in one block on 1 cable (you need to leave one side open for connecting the cable to more cables.

You can wrench gearboxes to turn them into vertical gearboxes and vice versa. Pretty useful for building. Edit: using a drill contraption to break all on one side might be quicker for the certus quartz.

be careful with the crafting cards. each item needed to be crafted will create a request in the system which will occupy one of the crafters. this may cause for your crafters to be occupied all the time and will prevent you yourself from making a crafting request when you need it without enough crafter CPUs.

I can't tell you how much applied opened up any mod/modpack i've played once i figured out how it works. It's absolutely nuts with what you can do and how truly over powered it can be. You can literally run your entire factory with applied energistics. It works with literally every mod I've played with, and can autocraft literally any item from any mod. some mods/items require quite a bit of setup, but it is possible

Yo you can probably simplify your certus quite a bit. In the mod there are things called formation and annihilation planes. If you hook up 4 growth accelerators around a single flawless bud leaving top and bottom free then enchant the annihilation planes to have fortune 3 (they can do higher if you u have the mods). You can then place the fortune annihilation planes next to where the crystals form they can then be filtered to only break full ones and then you will pretty much have all you need forever. Also growth accelerators only need power not channels so you can just wack an energy acceptor right next 2of the accelerators and plug it in and bosh.

When it comes to AE2 using crafting cards isn't something that most people recommend because it has a bigger performance impact than just setting up stocking interfaces to buffer common items like if you wanted to setup an automatic supply of ME Cables just have an interface stock the ingredients and extract items from the interface into dedicated machines for that craft and output into a separate draw with a storage bus attached so you can pull items from the ME terminal and they will automically restock over time as and when you use them (effectively the same result as a crafting card just much nicer on your frames at scale and the only downside being that you need dedicated machines for recipes but for things you use a lot this is less of a downside and more of a benefit as you can have more things crafting in parallel which reduces the craft time of recipes) or they can just be used directly for auto crafting without the need to wait for them and obviously you can setup patterns for when your demand is greater than your storage buffer as in maybe you only store 128 ME Cables but you need 256 Cables for a craft you will consume 128 from the buffer and your system can just manually work through the other 128 but generally that's an effective way to use AE2 without hurting your performance too much at large scales not to mention crafting cards will constantly occupy your crafting processors which can be fairly annoying. Hopefully that makes sense how I described it! really enjoying the series so far and I hope this helps. C:

Each build you use the framed blocks, and have to manually run around filling them with the right texture. But do you have to do that if using the create add on mod copycats +? Logically thinking, if its a create add on.. it SHOULD be able to recognize the imprinted block on the copycat framed block with the schematic cannon? Right?
