Just wondering, even though this is a fantasic practical solution LOL would it be better to bring the leaf blower back a little, as it being too close may be causing air to surface friction not letting the metal dicipate the heat properly? Just wondering :)

Fr, I built my first PC back in 2015 and watched loads of Jay's videos to help get an idea of what I was doing along with lots of research elsewhere. Jay has been around for a while and knows his stuff although sometimes his videos are a miss, like his "should you buy used parts" video where he bought the shadiest looking cheapest parts off eBay and obviously had a poor experience.

This reminds me of something I did Jay. I used a Lasko Pro-Performance High Velocity Utility Fan as a 375 CFM case exhaust fan. I used a clothes dryer flexible exhaust hose to duck tape on the air intake of the fan and the other end was taped to a open fan mount on the outside of the case. Airflow achieved.

Water to water heat exchangers are more efficient than trying to remove heat to the air. I think it's time for Jay to get a reasonably prived plate heat exchanger and a small pump, drop the heat exchanger exhaust hoses into a 55 gallon drum of water, and see how much he can get the temperature to rise. Another option might be to just immerse a sintered bronze keel cooler in the drum instead of a radiator and then a 2nd pump would be unnecessary.

Fun fact: super fast moving air will actually cool worse than normal, this is due to the drag coefficient where theres a point the air actually sticks to the fins like a coating while air moves past that "coating" of air. This is used in airplanes and is why the bottom side of the wings are flat or almost flat while the top part is curved and is why air moves slower on the bottom creating pressure Having flat fins mean the air is pretty much bypassing the surfaces
