Or even they were going to be wonderkids but chelsea ruined. For me Carlos vela and Giovanni dos santos are some of the biggest failed wonderkids. Both went to Europe very young with vela playing for arsenal and Gio being mentored by ronaldinho at Barca. Vela did amazing at real sociedad and in the mls but he never reached his full potential and gio was always inconsistent. As a Mexican they could’ve broken our World Cup curse 😢
