Let me know if you're excited for Firefly :)! Just as a side note, RM and HMC will be Firefly's best supports without a doubt, but I did want to show a more F2P-centric showcase for the newest MoC! Side side note for some of comments, I did mention this in my previous Firefly videos, but this MoC is favorable to Firefly / Break-Centric DPS. I would have to wait until the next MoC to re-showcase (which I more than likely will do!) but this is all I can do for right now. Its worth noting that this MoC heavily buffs firefly, so the amount you are losing from not using ruan mei is significantly smaller than it would be in another MoC. The extra turns from trotters supplement for not having the ruan mei's weakness break efficiency buff, and the speed you are missing from her

On top of the fact the boss enemy used for this showcase is the enemy designed to be countered by Firefly, in a similar fashion to how Black Swan was the direct counter to "Something Unto Death" when they were released.

@@wolfVFV While that may help, like if you were to use Acheron for brute forcing it, mechanically you want to be breaking them constantly, and Fire is the only weakness that they all share. Other units with Blast damage can put in solid work here for sure but you also need to be able to deal with the trotter as well. First side is carried by Boothill, second side is carried by Firefly. They just build it that way.

One thing to keep in mind is that realistically, Firefly shouldn't worry about being put to sleep by that enemy since all our rolls would be going to Effect Res anyway.

Boothill doesn't actually need Harmony MC - but will probably want a hyperspeed bronya or a speed tuned bronya + boothill. Firefly absolutely needs HMC though so your team comp will work.

one that i played not long ago, "Alina of the Arena" - pixelated gameplay? check - turn-based? check - card management? check - positioning management in 2d hexagon? check i played the demo version only, a bit before its launch that had 2 bosses, but it was a good experience in terms of difficult now, i think there is 3-4 combats with bosses and, except the hidden one, each floor you fight one of the two (heavy blade or one big spider, ice mage? or the brute + its summoner, the heavy knight or the jester)

Guoba did a team comp comparison with and without Ruan Mei and HTB, and it’s like a 30-50% drop when their not there… Even when your running a hyper carry with a asta, Tingyun and Yukong, compared to bronya-sparkle, the dif isn’t that big, being between 10-20 dif at max (assuming e6 4 star, or above e2, since that’s the most optimal.) and even then, af e0, they should still be around 30% dif from their best teams. Let’s hope that more break-efficient buffers get introduced later, since rn, HTB and Ruan Mei really is firefly’s only good buffers.

I mistakenly went up to world 5 on my game and I basically ruined it. I can't beat the first Sunday fight. I have been stuck here for so long. I hope one day they patch it so we can reduce the world level because honestly its not fun not being able to kill anything to be able to farm lol. However The team Moon has here, is the team I am running, just not as broken as her team. Asta and Firefly are amazing, if you have Ruin Mei, she is Best partner with Trailblazer imo. I only spent about £40 on this game since its release, so I Am more or less a F2P player, It took me 80 pulls but I got a copy of Firefly. This was a great guide, earned a sub, and good luck with your pulls folks!

It’s not a great idea for a lot of reasons: 1: you lose out on Asta’s buffs and toughness damage from her skill 2: HMC wouldn’t be able to skill due to the amount of skill points FF and Xueyi are consuming, creating energy issues for HMC 3: The enemies you would want to fight are more restricted due to Xueyi being Quantum and not Fire

btw, enemies often targeting your DPS actually has some specific programming behind that. Every gameplay Path has a specific aggro value they start with that the game uses in it's calculations what party member of the player, they will target. Preservation and Destruction having two of the, if not THE highest aggro values in all of Star Rail. This doesn't mean enemies will always target those Paths of characters if possible, but they do tend to favor those Paths of characters than other Paths. Because of that, some people assumed, despite Tingyun being a Harmony character, that she uses the Destruction Path aggro value instead, for main story lore reasons. I have seen zero confirmation on that. Sorry, rambled abit off there, I tend to do that. I'm not assuming you don't know about the Paths having different aggro values, me talking about it is moreso for anyone reading this who may not know. And also I wanted to say what's on my mind

With Asta + Messenger set + S5Dx3 + Ruan Mei could you not hit the 280 speed break point and get an extra turn for Firefly ultimate? I think this is only viable with E1S0 Firefly. I would definitely take her E1 before her light cone.

This is possible with FF but you need HMC with FF no matter what, it’s more viable to have HMC with Asta if you want to get to that breakpoint, which is possible with a 155 speed FF with maxed traces on FF and Asta. You also don’t need E1 FF although it would help a lot, you just need to be more conservative with HMC skill usage

Firefly’s break damage doesn’t benefit from DMG % buffs so I would recommend options that’ll boost Asta’s energy regeneration or dance dance dance!

It should be noted, that if you are using RuanMei compared to Asta, you can basically go Unga Bunga with Ruan Mei, but need more planning and thoughts when using Asta, you need to time her ults better to fully make use of her speed buffs. Also, team building is slightly different, since now you need way more speed sub rolls (+Asta buff uptime) to get a 5th turn with Firefly ult form.

Boothill is better in MoC while firefly is better in apocalyptic shadow and pf, though neither of them are good in pf. The reason firefly looks so good here is because the boss was designed to be hard countered by firefly.

Who are some other options instead of asta if we don’t like her lol and don’t have any of her eidolons? I was thinking if Hanya bc I have her e4 (3 turn ult) for the skill points and dmg/spd firefly buffs

Yes any sustain that can help with skill points should be okay to use :) Gallagher would just help more for Damage output since he inflicts a good amount too but any sustain should be good as long as they help with skill points!

i reaaaally want them to release a Weakness Break centric 5 Star support like Ruan Mei but like a Nihility/(Hopefully also the Physical Destruction char were getting in 2.4 is a Break centric char like Boothill/Firefly!) or a Sustain would be amazing (like Galagher but even better would be great) also I want them to introduce a character that can replace HMC, dont get me wrong i love F2P chars but i do love having Character goals, and 5 stars normally are the goal and HMC does synergize well with Break chars but id love if they added another Support to deal with Super Break like HMC, will be amazing (except 4 stars are OP sometimes yes, but id love if they hurry up and power crept the 4 stars with the 5 stars cause we know they will power creep them eventually its just like when lmao)

No. Burden doesn’t help FF at all, and the rest of the buffs that she gives are lesser than what Asta can bring and only apply to FF. Also, FF’s SP hungriness is mostly offset by Gallagher’s action advance in his ult

Are break characters good without Harmony TB or Ruan Mei? Or they are like Kafka of DoT team?

Should atleast run with harmony tb and Gallagher. Gallagher can be obtained from 4 star selector next patch.

Thank you for showcasing this! This is pretty much what I wanted because everyone and their cousins were showcasing Firefly with Ruan Mei and I don't have Ruan Mei. Now my question is whether or not I should get E1/E2 before attempting to get Ruan Mei with whatever is left over (if anything is left over). E1 will pretty much make the team much less strained when it comes to using skills and E2 is just massive damage.

The numbers say get Ruan Mei before any FF vertical investment. She's a massive damage buff for FF, like 35 % compard to Asta.

I would recommend getting Ruan Mei first and then Firefly afterwards personally!
