The buttercreme yes definitely it's great as far as moisturizing. Still not crazy about the Leave-in, I prefer it as a DC but in the summer only not winter as it's not moisturizing enough. Only tried the shampoo twice. It doesn't feel stripping but it's not a moisturizing shampoo.

I definitely recommend trying the leave in conditioner the way that I did, or as a deep conditioner with heat if you haven’t yet. I felt a lot better using it that way. Otherwise, I think it’s awesome that you still support 😌

I appreciate the detailed review. I definitely noticed that you don’t need a lot of her product to get good results. I used the elongating cream on my dirty hair and whoa!!! She wasn’t lying! My twists have never been that long with a moisturizing product in my hair!! I’m gonna pick up the leave in conditioner. I might pass on the shampoo because I hate that super squeaky clean feel on my hair.

I do 1 pump of the leave in and a squirt of oil and use that to moisturize or refresh my hair. I've barely made a dent in the twisting cream yet!

The shampoo is the best. Especially having braids ( box braids) and when its wash time it really gets your scalp sooo clean! And no residue build up stuck in your braids. And my hairs actually growing and doesn't leave my scalp crusty and dry after.

Yes! I braids my hair up every 3 to 4 weeks so the shampoo is perfect. And the twisting cream has my hair so moisturized!

Just got it from ulta yesterday... so far I really like the multi use leave in. Getting use to the spearmint smell. Loosens my knots. Detangling was not a pain. The shampoo however, I might return. Not enough lather, scalp&hair didn’t feel clean...had to go in with my regular shampoo on 3rd wash. Will give it another try. I want it to work :(

I have used the Melanin Leave in and TEC for more than a month and i absolutely love them!i like the leave in immediately after rinsing out the deep conditioner then a little butter on my ends..then the TEC the following day with a little leave in and butter to seal..i get a lot of stretch and volume with it!i have the shampoo will try on a later date as well as the oil.Am glad you did this F/U..oh i never had flakes with the cream and do not like it on wet hair💇

I don't really fuss over shampoos. I just want my hair clean but I did purchase the leave in and twisting cream and I loved it. My hair is really dry and this kept my hair well moisturized between washes.

The melanin twisting butter has a nutty aroma, like a sweet nutty scent, as all shea butter is supposed to smell like I guess, well at first it did. But then after a while, the scent faded a bit and I think it's because it had already been opened thus losing its scent.

Yea I had no issues with flakes using the buttercreme but I saw a review a while back to use less as it's really thick. I also really heat it up in my hands b4 putting on my hair so it would absorb better. It's probably too heavy for low porosity so less is more with this product

I completely agree with the mint smell. I find that when I use a shampoo and deep conditioner with a completely different smell, it tones down the mint A LOT. Maybe give that a try 😌

I tried the Melanin products, I like the leave in but the twisting cream did not leave my hair moisture. So far TGIN moisture butter is perfect for the winter in Alaska. I will revisit Melanin twisting cream in the summer (that’s May for us)

The shampoo and leave-in do wonders for me. I scoop two spoonfuls of the twist cream and about six squirts of the leave-in into my deep conditioning hair-pudding I make and my hair is so moisturized 🤧😩😩😩😩💯💯

I’ve only used the cream for a wash and go, no flaking. I’ve tried the oil, love it and I’ve tried the leave-in and loved it too but the spearmint fragrance was too much for me. I haven’t tried the shampoo.

Yeah the spearmint can be a lot, but since I only use the shampoo once a month, my other shampoo and deep conditioners kinda tone down the smell since they smell completely different

Brittaneee, I honestly don't think I'll be using the leave-in for its intended purpose. I'll use it as a detangler because my twist-out looked dry as opposed to when I use my Mielle Pomegranate and Honey leave-in which leaves my hair defined and bouncy. The twisting cream doesn't smell like anything, and when it arrived, the seal was open. Is this normal? I am kind of scared to use it to be honest. Like why doesn't it smell like anything, and why was it open?

Yeah the leave in is OKAY, but definitely better if I let it sit in my hair as I shower prior to styling. & my styling cream was sealed because I purchased it from the store. To be honest I ordered some hair products the other day, and they arrived all busted up and product was spilling everywhere lol. It could have been the delivery process 🤔 they are not gentle with packages at all so maybe that’s why? And yeah it definitely doesn’t smell like anything

@@Brittaneee I will have to try that. I was thinking that it not working well may have something to do with my porosity. Maybe it's the protein in it not sure. About the damaged packaging, it's happened to me several times. I hope you got your money back! I ordered some hair oil, and the glass arrived broken and the oil was all over the box. I got a refund. The delivery people really just toss people's packages around without a care in the world. And I believe the twisting cream just wasn't sealed when they put it in the container. That's why I was worried like what if they put lotion or something in here, and not the actual product lol. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I'm gonna take it to Ulta and see if they have a container that's actually sealed because you never know.

I helped my daughter apply the leave-in conditioner twice and both times it softened.and removed the nail polish off my nails. The polish is regular nail polish (not gel nail). Anybody else have this issue? Also the oil caused me and my son scalp irritation and acne. I’m not sure what oil we are allergic to. Anybody else have this problem?

I agree 😩 I can’t even chew spearmint gum so it’s not that it’s bad , I just don’t like spearmint lol. But it’s a great leave-in so I try to incorporate somewhere in my routine here and there.

I’ve been using the oil because all this heat is making my scalp dry, and I never have a dry scalp or dandruff. This shit has my scalp so dry and flaky!!! I cannot stand it. It’s definitely not for me.
