@arvinzamanian During the six days of using NAVAGE, my sense of smell was fine. Interestingly, for years, I used to loose my sense of smell every time I got sick. But after using NAVAGE, for about a year now, I lost my sense of smell maybe once even though I got sick a few times. Frequency and the way I get sick have changed, too.
@easyflowing Жыл бұрын
@arvinzamanian Thank you 🙏 With my chronic sinusitis, my sense of smell was fine. It did get anosmia during the episodes of acute inflammation. Do you have anosmia chronically?
@easyflowing Жыл бұрын
@arvinzamanian Is your inflammation in the Maxillary Sinus (bottom) or in the Frontal Sinus (top)? Someone in the comments under this video mentioned that this machine works well for clearing the bottom Sinus cavities, not the top ones...
@easyflowing Жыл бұрын
@arvinzamanian You are very kind, Arvin. It might sound silly but I sometimes turn my head upside down, when I use some nasal sprays, when I get very stuffed up. I lay in my bed on my back and let my head hang down. When the medication gets into those upper cavities, it hurts, though. This clears anasmia for a little bit, too, after I turn right side up and blow my nose. It gives me just enough time to enjoy my food.

Little advice. Keep your mouth opened to prevent the saline/mucus/water from going down in your throat. As the suction happens it's important that the air can be sucked from your mouth to prevent a bad taste.

Alright, I bought it and just used it twice, switching flow directions. Easy! I closed my throat with the back of my tongue so no water down my throat. Like you, I can I see that I'm going to have use it a few days to notice a big difference (have had allergies all my life). Right now my nose is clear but it's back there, deep, in my sinuses where I still feel clogged. I'm hoping repeated use, reducing irritants, will allow my sinuses to also clear out. I really liked using it and saved the empty salt pods to use later, according to your so very helpful instructions. I'm gonna do it a couple more times before I go to sleep, tonight, and actually look forward to it! Thank you so much for your demo and tips because I wouldn't have made the decision to spend the 100 bucks without you. You're a sweetheart!

It’s not just your sinuses that are sensitive, plain water in your nasal cavity hurts the salt neutralizes the water so it doesn’t “hurt” warmed water also helps with that. I see so many videos where people talk about “pain” and that is not normal it should feel no different than saline spray in your nose.
@easyflowing Жыл бұрын
Actually, with sinusitis, the sinuses are inflamed and because if it, the area is extra sensitive, the pain is real even with salt water. It's definitely not normal, it does need healing. I couldn't even breathe in the cold winter air before I used this machine because it was painful. Now, after using Navage, I can inhale through my nose in the winter with no issues.
@shelleycharlesworth5177 Жыл бұрын
@@easyflowing Melissa is correct never put unsalted water in your nose! You MUST add salt--you can also add a little baking soda to "buffer" the water. My allergist said to add a teaspoon of light Kayro syrup. That syrup is moisturizing and soothing.
@easyflowing Жыл бұрын
@@shelleycharlesworth5177 Because I also teach swimming on this channel, I have to keep in mind of the people's fear of water going up their noses. Even though I never said that fresh water should be used to clean the sinuses, there's still a different degree of tolerance of fresh water up the nose while swimming. I, for example, used to have zero tolerance of it, the paid was horrible, whereas my husband doesn't even feel much discomfort. After using NAVAGE, my tolerance of fresh water in my sinuses have increased, which means that my sensitivity was due to my sinuses being inflamed, and they are not as inflamed anymore.
@easyflowing Жыл бұрын
@shelleycharlesworth5177 yes, I use sea salt and baking soda for my saline solution. I've never heard of this Kayro syrup. Thank you, I'll look it up. PS I used my own saline solution in this video, where I shared how I reuse the pods: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o16tZ4qgr8qiodk

@carolrhodes58352 жыл бұрын
@@easyflowing We actually just ordered it. Retired healthcare person, so lots of anatomy and physiology! When something is being suctioned, if the pressure is high enough, everything that is somewhat pliable and small enough, is going to be sucked closed, or in the case of water pressure, the water is going to follow the path of least resistance. If you open your mouth, the pressure to your ears should be relieved because of the larger opening of your mouth. Sorry so long! I hope you feel better!

I haven't been able to use a neti pot because of my deviated ceptum; water simply doesn't move through my sinuses. This machine does get water in and out, so for me, it definitely works. Do our ears pop and get full because of mucus? How often do you deal with these symptoms?
@easyflowing2 жыл бұрын
No, my ears don't usually pop because of mucus.

I get some pressure in my ears and they pop, but it's not that bad and it's much better to have my sinuses clean and clear
@kellyfitzpatrick4355 Жыл бұрын
If your ears pop, it's because your swollen sinuses were pressing on your eustachian tubes, which is another reason to cleanse. If they cannot equalize pressure via those tubes, you could damage your hearing.
