mult-casting lets you cast multiple spells once at the same time, multi-shot lets you cast the same spell multiple times at once.

Reaper Set has zero to do with killing, and is a Poison focused sort of thing. The unlock requirement is getting poison stacks to 1500 on one enemy. Given you have a relic that gives you a random element per cast, you got it in the slowest way possible.

This saved me on a run. Casting multiple boulders the exploded into hundreds of rebounding lasers with spell nova attached. I couldn’t see the the 4stage boss at all lol

My best build was using Orbit in every slot with the Wand Spirit starter build (forgot the name of the actual thingy in the wardrobe). Using orbit in every slot + range enhanced + spells like Thunderstorm/Fierce Dragon Breath (sometimes had to take Range out due to range buffs I'd pick up) + One wand with Pillars with a bunch of stuff that would basically spam them and voilá I could sit still in most rooms and some bosses would melt just by walking around dodging mechanics. The only downside in this build was you HAD to decrease the opacity of spells. Thunderstorm + Split + Range is crazy because it covers the whole screen once you have enough range. With Dragon Breath you'll have multiple circles of fire orbiting around you and melting anything that tries to get close. Pillars spawning around you will shield you from most projectiles.

10:15 you can use the slot you put the ice thing on otherwise. You got the relic randomising the elemental effects of your spells, so your ice effect will be overdriven by that and occasionally you’ll get the ice effect from that relic. No more need to use elemental stuff on the wands

Won my run using Reaper set and absolutely ungodly build with lasers++, melted last boss literally in five seconds, seems like game is very hard in a sense that you either break it completely or it breaks you, with little in-between. My favourite type of game.

I recommend watching old speedruns of magicraft, there is a lot of uses for the meteor build, with a wand that makes meteors deal 1% dmg towards you

5:09 that only works for that wand. It doesn't give better mp regain to other wands. There are wands that do give max mp and regain as a global buff but they will specifically say that on their cards. Like Expanding container and Sorcerer's oath. And then therea a wand that can be used like a backup mp pool in Energized Orb.

you can reduce the opacity of your spells if you're having a hard time seeing with all those spells My fav build is the mouse thing with the thunder ball thing and fling my character towards enemies

You can turn down the visibility of your own spells, and I would highly recommend it. bring it down to like 1/3 and it becomes so much easier to see what is happening.

Shame mans didn't go to the side rooms on the 3rd area, or sacrifice a spell to the tentacle pit. Interesting build tho, woulda never made it myself. I'm too scawed to use the Meteor spell without a staff or relic that reduces indiscriminate damage. Also, mans bought the archmage wand but left behind the other good wand, instead of switching one of the weaker staffs for it. Watching gameplay of this as a seasoned player is interesting but also painful.

You need to try the sword machine gun/stormy weather build, DF. These 2 builds carried me through Nightmare 3, half awake. I don't even know what I'm cooking until I woke up in the morning and continued the run. Ur main weapon will be sword of judgement, or thunderstorm. Use the Bi'an set if possible, for maximum damage output, helps a lot in early game. Else it'd be fine too. The key is getting a low cd staff with lots of slot, (preferably below 0.3 but 0.5/0.6 cd works)Just spam like 3 over scatter or get a ++ if possible, just stack it until you reach 0 cdr. The sword machine gun build is : 0.5 cd staff (bi'an passive if u have) & over scatter(+/++), track/orbit, core of flame, reflection and SoJ. optional: Energy saving mode + damage enhanced, multple multishot, frost effect (early), auto navigate, time duration enhanced stack as much over scatter as necessary to get to 0.2/0.1/0 cooldown time. Tips: only pick 1 between track/orbit cuz only the right most ones activate For maximum damage output: having reflection spells, and multiple multi shot/+/++. It adds crazy amount of damage and wave clear ability. This build is supposed to burn a lot of mana for high Burst/DPS, but I recommend using "energy saving mode" spell if you burn through your mana too quickly, but you'll need dmg enhance to offset the reduction. Taking frost effect is fine early on but try getting an artifact that do effect instead. I personally like the combo of track, automatic navigate, and time duration enhanced to see the sword I threw fly as it creates a storm of sword that fills the entire map. For stormy weather: 0.5cd staff (Bi'an passive if u have) & over scatter, Range enhanced, split, reflection, Core of flame and thunderstorm. Optional : tranquil bloom/magic reservoir, time duration enhanced, Frost effect(early), energy saving mode + damage enhanced. Don't use orbit/track cuz the you'll evantually make up for the casting range by stacking multiple range enhanced, beit + or ++. I recommend slapping time duration+ and a few Multishot or +/++ and watch as it burns through every enemy's health bar.
