I used pool noodles as exhaust silencers for my wrx..

was feeling optimistic and considerate with this video. intested some foam noodles or foam piping from walmart to see if it would reduce the noise of my cold start. check it out and let me know what you think ! #subaru #wrx #coldstart

depends on how cold i believe.. could possibly melt if you leave it too long or the temps are hottter !

wont harm too much unless you’re suffocating the exhaust, this method has a lot of cracks and holes to let it breathe still!

Dude I was at AeroFlowDynamics and had their exhaust installed and that shiz is so loud and I have nice neighbors so this is a good an idea so I don’t wake em up at 6am… btw do you know if this is safe to do and won’t hurt the car at all? Thanks

definitely felt that.. there is definitely different ways to do it . I recommend some silencers that actually fit but ive heard that any type of silencers/mufflers would cause too much back pressure. With the pool noodle technique i used there was a lot of air cracks so i believe it was still good !
