PLEASE trust me when I say that if you don’t follow your Sleeve diet, you WILL gain the weight back. Your stomach will stretch right back out. I worked for one of the leading bariatric surgery centers in the states and not only did a huge percentage of our patients gain it back, so did a lot of our staff that had it done. I sincerely hope this works for you! Sending so much love and support! ❤

YESSS YES N YES...PEOPLE do not understand that harsh truth of bariatric surgery.. I have really had to work very hard to keep off my 110lb weight loss..I fluctuate by 5-9lbs but snap back by resetting, emotionally checking in with myself, exercising and watching what I put in my mouth...im basically doing everything I had to do in order to lose weight before I was sleeved.. Only now at smaller portions. Sleeve is not a cure all at alllll..its just a tool..that can absolutely fail you if you abuse it

Body dysmorphia is so real, there myself after wtloss surgery. 2018 I was 478 lbs at my heaviest to 220 today & maintaining it. I suffer with lots of extra skin that needs removing but insurance does not cover. I remind myself daily to love body I have worked so hard for. Much love to everyone on or had done this journey, its not easy way out its a tool not solution. It was hardest thing I've ever done for myself.

As someone who binge eating after stressed, i can understand u. I gained 1-2kg/year (i used to be skinny, now i'm in my normal weight). Luckily, it still not a 'disorder' because i still somehow can control myself. I made a rule for myself, only 1 boba tea per month, 1 sugary drink per week, 1 fast food per week and i tried my best to exercise 2x/week. It is very hard
@JustEm97

It truly is hard. I don't binge eat, but with lots of other mental struggles, I never had the energy to make proper food, and I ate lots of bad foods. I'm trying to lose weight, and I'm 17kg down so far, but just keeping it up is really hard. Especially with you have mental struggles. It's so much easier ordering a pizza or just buying something already ready to be eaten, instead of making proper food. But I'm trying to keep in mind that I will lose weight. Whether it takes a year or five years, or more, I'll do it. I shouldn't force myself to the gym if I don't have the energy, and sometimes it's okay to just eat something less good. It's all okay. It's human. It's all about picking yourself back up again.
@tspeakstlives
@tspeakstlives Жыл бұрын
It's hard, yes. I have had similar experiences as you. From what I've learnt from my experience and from what others have told, when you are having cravings, ask yourself is it because of some stressful event or are you genuinely craving a food? Healthy relationship with food is important, so remember that eating less healthy food every now and then will not hurt you. If it goes over the limit, then you will know it is time to stop overindulging. Develop other healthy ways to deal with stress and you will find it easier to not binge eat during those moments. Choose an exercise routine or physical activity that YOU enjoy and find it challenging enough. Most importantly, don't beat yourself up when you miss a workout or break your rules. Think about why you did it, forgive yourself and remind yourself that it is okay and that you will do better. Food is a wonderful thing and is one of the main joys of life, so I hope everyone develops a healthy relationship with it ♥️

For the people where surgery goes well, good for them! However please think it's not just an easy way out and it doesn't always go as planned. My husband had this surgery and had to go 9 times into surgery again because of this and 3 of those were to save his life because things went wrong. Just please think for yourself and be 100% sure about it, not because everyone else is doing it.

@ReginaMcNeish

@@lathafalls7675 If people go vegan or carnivore it’s going to cause them to lose weight because they are cutting out all the junk in the middle. If they stay on vegan too long they should become very aware of their gut health cuz of the poisons in the plants. The animals eat those poisons and can digest them well and then we eat the animals which our guts can easily digest. Women especially need to be aware of their bodies on vegan cuz of the lack of fat which causes their menstrual cycles to stop (if it stops just eat a lot more animal fats it will help balance out the hormones and start your cycle again). If you want to become omnivore go for it but try one of the other 2 first to eliminate what’s not working for you. Basically listen to your body and not the rules of a diet, it never works out well when you do things to follow a trend, even with food.

@@NellyGandhellaThose too can be tough and take time. Well, I personally never really eat out anyway, but that's cuz it's a waste of money. Was never fond of crisps. But sugary drinks took time. I loved the feeling of drinking something fizzy and nothing else tasted quiet the same. I then switched to diet versions, which taste wise took time to get used to, then I started to enjoy non fizzy drinks as I was feeling less bloated, however even to my water I add some flavoring cuz I still don't like anything tasteless. And chocolate? Now that's one I can't seem to give up on at all. Less yes, but not to stop completely. Chocolate requires some absolute magic to give up on lol

GOOD FOR YOU. If you have any other disease that surgery would fix and give you a shot at a long healthy life... ANYONE would choose that treatment. But some people are so critical that surgery treatment for obesity means weakness. NO...Weakness is to not make a choice at the best possible outcome. I had surgery 17 yrs ago at 40. Changed my entire life. Now l do not have the diabetes l was predisposed to have and that my father and grandmother died from early. I also do not have the blood pressure issues or medications or early strokes my parents had. I am strong & healthy. Your mind will catch up and begin to see yourself as you really are. You look stunning!

Mine was severe anorexia in high school followed by a brief recovery period and then right back to it again in my twenties. I still struggle with it to this day at 41. It never goes away and I can easily stop eating for several days at a time if I let myself. I usually only eat one meal a day and I still feel like I ate way too much afterwards and experience guilt. Eating disorders are sadly for life whether you are actively participating in them or not. The mentality will always be there with you. 😕

It's sad to see so many negative comments on here. Surgery is by no means an easy way out. It still requires hard work and discipline. Sometimes surgery is the only way to conquer food addiction. Binge eating disorder is a real thing and like any addiction - it's not laziness, it's a mental disorder. Well done to Claireabelle for coming so far 👏👏👏. She should be very proud of herself. She looks great and she put in the hard work to change her mind frame and relationship with food, working with the surgery and not against it. Surgery is no quick fix. If people start to slip back into their old ways, they can easily undo the effects of the band.

She looks incredible! It really transformed how she looked. She looks so much younger in the after. I do hope that she also addressed the ED as well so she can maintain the weight loss from the surgery and live her best life while keeping “the demon” at bay.

Am I the only one who has gained weight from not eating? I love hearing these stories but they are usually about people who have eating disorders. I used to eat one to two times a day because I was never really hungry and that combined with my depression and lack of exercise caused me to gain a lot of weight. I have lost a total of 45lbs by actually eating more. Anyways just a thought.

I never knew this either until I started researching defcits and I was eating way lower than I should which contributes to weight gain. That 1200 default on my fitness pal is bull. 1200 is the daily allotment for my 6 year old

Let me say, if you eat less than you need, you wouldn’t gain weight… The point is, if you eating less, your metabolism is able to go down about ca. 300 calories…. If you dont move a lot and your small ect, that would mean you only have as example 1700-300 = 1400 calories …. You can achieve that with processed food easily in one meal… Also, if you taking medication with increase your insulin or cortisol, you WILL gain… no matter what… Insulin and cortisol trigger fat saving… hormons work allways in balance… I could highly recommend the book or the podcast about DR. Jason Fung… He explains it very well…

Congratulations for this job you do for you. I am 60 years old with 186 lbs, but if I am loosing my weight I have no money to cutting away the hanging skin and to live with the skin, I will take away all mirrors and the one thing : I don't like hospitals and doctors. You are young and beautyful. Have a wonderful life ❤

Congrats Claire! Keep doing whatchu doing! ❤ It's taken me a long time to come to terms with the choices I'd made and my addiction to booze, to really see how any perceived rock bottom could have an even deeper rock bottom depending on where I choose to plant my feet. Ngl, I used to b***h about how I was dispositioned to fail from the get-go with how liquor stores are on every corner, advert, flyers, movies you name it. Now I'm grateful for it, desensitized by it, I can go out confidently to have fun and not worrying if I should pass by a store just in case I'm not toasty by last call; to which was all the time, I've got mulla in my pocket, and in a position to help if anyone happens to need it. Having 'inherited nomadic genes' I'd never considered having to be mindful of my intake but here I am 😅. Replaced one evil with a lesser one, one that cannot be abstained from; only this time I'm walking in with a much, much better outlook on things. Mostly thanks to brave people like you that show us its possible to turn a mountain into an anthill. I appreciate you and 4 sharing your journey.
